This episode marks the final episode of Season 2, and we wanted to take a moment to say thank you! Thank you for listening, sharing, sending messages, and letting this podcast be part of your running journey.!
This season was filled with honest conversations, mindset shifts, training updates, lessons learned, and plenty of moments that reminded us why we love this community so much. We reflect on what Season 2 brought, what we’re carrying forward, and what we’re excited to build next.
Whether you’ve listened to every episode or just found us recently, we’re so grateful you’re here. We’ll be back soon, and we can’t wait to keep running alongside you!

This week we’re diving into Elite Minds chapters 5 and 6… knowing your REAL why, selling yourself short when it comes to goal setting, and more! We share our biggest takeaways, the parts that hit home, and how these mindset shifts actually show up during training.
We also give our weekly training updates, and Toni shares a mini shoe review because… we all know she has thoughts 😂
Whether you’re in the middle of a build, coming back from injury, or just trying to understand your brain a little better as an athlete, this one is such a good listen.

This week, we’re digging into a big mindset shift inspired by our latest BOOK IT read, Elite Minds. We talk about what it really means to pause and feel satisfied with where you are, instead of instantly jumping to “What’s next?” or “How can I be better?”
Toni shares how this is showing up in her own training, especially with the reminder: “I’m not behind. I’m building.”
We also chat about navigating winter training, staying grounded when it feels like everyone else is racing ahead, and small shifts that help you stay confident in your own season.
A mix of mindset, honest training talk, and the cozy chaos of winter running!

Welcome to our new segment BOOK IT where we take whatever running book we’re currently obsessed with and pull out the “oh wow… that actually makes sense” moments. Currently it’s Elite Minds, and yes, we already underlined way too much in just a few chapters.
We’re also swapping training updates:
Toni’s calf (doing great) & how she handled watching Philly Half weekend go by without catching FOMO.
Christine’s ankle / PT updates. And of course… the early whispers of spring race plans creeping in.
It’s mindset, mileage, and the usual coach tangents, all in one episode!

This week’s episode is a peek behind the curtain of our own training updates.Christine shares how PT is going and how Carter & Ryan’s 5K went (spoiler: they crushed it!!), while Toni opens up about her decision to pull from Philly, the latest on her calf, and what she’s considering next.
It’s a conversation about pivoting with purpose, listening to your body, and remembering that progress isn’t always linear, but it’s always leading somewhere.

We’re back for Season 2, Episode 28, and kicking things off with a new mini-segment inspired by Elite Minds by Dr. Stan Beecham 👏
Each week we’ll share quick takeaways from a chapter and how they show up in running and life (basically, our version of a runner’s book club)!
We also want our listeners to title this segment, so submit your ideas!
This week’s updates:
A good one if you’ve ever had to pivot, slow down, or trust that growth happens in the adjustment (not just in the grind).

A little tight, a little tired, but definitely fine.
In this episode, we’re chatting about those small runner moments that test your chill - when your calf feels weird or your ankle’s cranky and suddenly you’re questioning everything. We talk about what we’re each navigating right now, how to keep perspective, and why staying calm (and curious) usually leads to the best outcome.
Because sometimes, the smartest move isn’t pushing harder... it’s just not overreacting.

Chicago Marathon Weekend gave us all the feels- joy, gratitude, pride, and a reminder of why we do what we do.
In this episode, Toni and Christine reflect on an unforgettable weekend: the energy of the shakeout run, the moments that gave us chills on race day, and what it meant for Christine to return to the marathon after 10 years, walk away with a 15-minute PR and a Boston Qualifier, and celebrate alongside our incredible athletes who showed up and went all in.
