On the 74th episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I sit down with a fellow international speaker and consultant, who has spent the majority of her career focusing on the real estate space, Valerie Garcia.
Valerie began her career in real estate as an administrative assistant for her local Century 21 branch in Michigan. "My real estate journey started the day that my broker came in with a big box, threw it on my desk, and said 'this is going to change our lives', I opened it, and it was a fax machine."
From that day forward, she focused her efforts on learning new skills and technology and passing along that education across North America. Valerie became a trainer with Century 21 before becoming the Director of Training with RE/MAX. She travelled the world, and met thousands of people, "and then about 7 years ago I decided to do something different and I went out on my own."
In the blink of an eye, Valerie started from scratch, all on her own.
On the 73rd episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I sit down with longtime friends and clients, Cathy and Tanya Rocca. Together, the Rocca Sisters have built a real estate empire achieving milestones such as Royal LePage Chairman's Club, consistently ranking in the top 10 for all Royal LePage Canada and ranking in the top 1% nationally.
Sisters by blood, business partners by choice, Cathy and Tanya are a duo that have complimented each other since they began their real estate business 16 years ago. "We were just looking to have fun. We love to service, we love to help people, we love the creative flair with staging. We just wanted to have fun."
Learning from their father who had worked in the real estate industry, Cathy and Tanya almost instinctively knew how to fuel their growing business: The Lifetime Referral System.
Each morning, I wake up and complete a gratitude journal. For 30 consecutive days, I write down 3 things that I'm grateful for without repeating a single entry. By the 30th day, I'm writing down that I'm thankful for slippers, air conditioning and a working coffee maker.
The point of the exercise is to remind myself that I have much to be grateful for and in this next interview, I am reminded even more that I have lived a good life.
In the 72nd episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I sit down with Michael Tudorie, a longtime Coaching Member with an unforgettable story. He grew up in the Socialist Republic of Romania in the 1970s. At the time, Romania was aligned with other socialist states within the Eastern Bloc.

Sometimes there is an idea that is so good, that it stops me in my tracks. On the 71st episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I interviewed an inspiring woman with such an idea. Gia Lucchetta has been practicing real estate in her beautiful city of Guelph, Ontario for over 30 years. A Western University Alumni, Gia went right from post-secondary education into real estate at the suggestion of her father.
"My mother was mortified," Gia told me, but to satisfy her father, she met with a broker in Guelph and the rest is history.

Anshul Ruparell, born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, grew up in a family of real estate entrepreneurs. While he began his career in investment banking and private equity, Anshul eventually found himself working as an entrepreneur in the real estate industry following his family origin."Properly is a new kind of real estate brokerage that tries to use technology to enhance the home buying and selling experience. Our core mission is to make real estate customer-centric."
On the 67th episode of The Richard Robbins Show, my next guest is just a few years into her real estate career and is already thriving with her own small team in the Whistler, British Columbia area. In her first year alone, meg did 47 transactions and this year (2022), she's on track to over 80 transactions.
Meg McLean, an RRI Coaching Member and team lead of the Meg McLean Real Estate Team, started her real estate career in administration. "I started off as an administrator because I really wanted to understand everything from start to finish. I had no idea about the paperwork, I didn't know anything. Learning all of that, I felt as though there was a better way."
Her systematic approach to real estate has helped her create a structured and standardized business that works with both buyer and seller clients.
And, in this episode, she shares the entire 8-step process.

This next episode of The Richard Robbins Show is particularly special to me because I got to sit down with my younger brother.
Vance Robbins, owner of Anden Kitchen & Bath Centre in Peterborough, Ontario, has built a tremendous business that thrives on word of mouth (referrals). He started door-knocking in his Peterborough neighborhood in 1991 and today his company is doing well over 200 kitchen and bath jobs a year.
Not only is this podcast a story of determination and hard work but it is also filled with insights on how to provide sensational customer service that produces a 90% referral rate.

My next guest on The Richard Robbins Show has built an incredibly successful real estate brokerage within the Greater Toronto Area, boasting a team of over 1400 real estate professionals, and turning his business into a full-service brokerage for his agents.
Chris Slightham, broker/owner of Royal LePage Signature, took over the family business in the late 90's and grew the brokerage of 95 agents into one of the GTA's most powerful and desirable real estate businesses.
"Our realtors are our clients; How can we provide resources that are going to make their life easier? We've got a lot of exciting things to work on and improve but that is what our focus is: What can we do to make your life easier?"

My next guest on The Richard Robbins Show considers his volunteer work within the community just as important as his thriving real estate business; one cannot succeed without the other.
A top producing Team Leader and sought-after RRI Business Coach, Tony Joe has been involved with RRI in some capacity since 2002. Based in the beautiful city of Victoria in British Columbia, Tony, along with his Buyer Agent, reached 157 transactions in 2021.
With such a prosperous business, you would think that 100% of his time is spent on his thriving real estate business. You'd be wrong.

My next guest on The Richard Robbins Show immigrated to Canada when he was 17 years old, was a licensed real estate professional by age 22 and, without a budget or a database to rely on, Ranjit still did 21 transactions in his first year, part-time!
Working primarily in the Brampton area in Ontario, Ranjit may only be 37 years old, but his business practices go back further by decades. "I love pen and paper because whenever you write it down, it will not disappear until you cross it out."
Ranjit shares he felt it was a blessing in disguise that he started from scratch, with no prior knowledge to influence his work ethic. "I knew very little. When you have less education, you try harder to learn more and you appreciate it. I had blind faith."
