In the 54th episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I sit down with a woman I've known for nearly two decades, who, while raising two daughters alone and leaving the comfort of her full time job to build a real estate business, is now a million dollar agent, enjoys weekends at the cottage and is a testament to what hard work and determination can achieve.
Tracy Mullin, team leader of the Kayland Group in Durham Region, didn't start out in real estate with the ambitions she's given herself today. "I just wanted to make $80,000 [a year], so to make the kind of money that I've made consistently over the years is pretty incredible. I'm very blessed."

In the 53rd episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I sat down with someone who has become a quick friend to myself and the entire RRI organization.
Derek Timmons, a Calgary based real estate professional and RRI Coaching Member, is relatively new to the industry but has made an immediate and lasting impression on everyone he comes across.
A construction worker turned real estate professional, Derek tells me that his path was carved out for him as a teenager. "I remember when I was sixteen years old, my uncle came over to help my dad and I build a deck. He looked at me and said, 'kid, you ain't all that bright, and you aren't going to make a living as a model, so if I were you, I'd learn how to swing this', and he handed me a hammer."

In the 52nd episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I sat down with someone who has mastered the art of referral based sales. Her unique business approach, sales technique and daily routines has led to an unbelievable 28-year career with Cutco Closing Gifts.
Vonny Fast, an Alberta based sales consultant, has been a proud partner and sponsor with RRI for many years. Starting her sales career with Cutco at just 18 years old as a curious teenager, she is now the one of the companies most successful sales consultants in North America, boasting a nearly 3 decade career fuelled solely on repeat and referral business.
"I never wanted to be in sales." Vonny tells me. "I actually had a negative perception of what sales people were." Before long, Vonny discovered that the secret to success in sales wasn't the selling aspect, it was the relationship building.

On the 51st episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I sat down with a man who has scientifically figured out a way to biohack your brain to help unleash your true potential. It may sound like science fiction but this technology is now being used by athletes, doctors and professionals around the world to create a greater you!
Patrick Porter Ph.D., is the founder of BrainTap™, which he tells me was created with a singular mission in mind, "to better a billion brains." Using a downloadable app and headset technology, BrainTap™ enables users to enhance their quality of life through improved brain health.

In the 50th episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I sat down with someone I've become great friends with over the last 13 years, yet somehow this conversation felt new; like we were speaking for the first time.
Jeremy Amyotte, a longtime RRI Coaching Member and author of "Self-Assurance," has been one of Edmonton's top real estate sales agents since he began his career in 2007. However, there was no straight line in his career path.
Jeremy's childhood wasn't typical. His father struggled with drug addiction and his mother was forced into the role of a single parent. At the age of 14, Jeremy left home to begin a life on his own.

I don't normally get starstruck, but my next guest on The Richard Robbins Show is someone who I've admired from television shows like Late Night with David Letterman and The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson.
Tom Dreesen, a well-established stand-up comedian of 51 years, has rubbed shoulders with some of Hollywood's most illustrious stars. His career took him from performing on stage at The Comedy Store to becoming Frank Sinatra's opening act for over 14 years.
Born in Harvey, Illinois, Tom had the simple childhood ambition of simply supporting his family. "We were raggedy poor. We had no bathtub, no shower, no hot water. Sometimes rat infested, roach infested shack. If a window broke you stuck a rag in it, you got holes in your shoes, you put cardboard in it."

My next guest on The Richard Robbins Show truly has captured the power of podcasting. His podcast, The Thought Leader Revolution, has well over 200 episodes and has generated nearly 3 million dollars in business without ever selling a single product.
Nicky Billou, author of Finish Line Thinking and The Thought Leaders Journey, is an ex-corporate executive, public speaker and corporate trainer, becoming a trusted adviser to CEOs, entrepreneurs, and sales professionals for their personal health and peak business performance.
But where Nicky has truly excelled is in the world of podcasting.

In this next episode of The Richard Robbins Show, I sit down with the President and CEO of the #1 Royal LePage Real Estate Team in Canada, Cailey Heaps.
Despite beating over 18,000 other real estate agents and doing nearly half a billion dollars in sales last year alone, Cailey keeps humble with her achievements and focuses her efforts on creating an excellent customer experience. She tells me, "We're very proud to be number one in Canada. But what makes us proud of that is the fact that our clients have put us in that position. It's really, if every client is happy, they'll promote us."
Before she was #1 in Canada, Cailey began her storied career in real estate at 23 years old as her mother's unlicensed administrative assistant, making just $28,000 a year, respectively.

My next guest on The Richard Robbins Show has been on the New York Times, Business Week, Wall Street Journal and Amazon.com best sellers lists. His book, How to Become a Rainmaker, is one of my all time favorites and taught me to look at business in a whole new light.
Jeffrey Fox, founder of Fox & Company, a management consulting firm, has written 11 best-selling business books that have been translated into over thirty languages. His simple, no fluff approach to writing has helped countless entrepreneurs thrive in the business world.
"I believe my readers are ambitious and curious," Jeffrey tells me. "My books are simple. I know big words but I don't use them. You've got to have a voice and my voice is I write the way I think, the way I speak, and I'm always trying to get to the simple of it; always trying to get to the point."

My next guest on The Richard Robbins Show sits among the top 1% all REALTORS® in his highly competitive marketplace, top 1% in Canada within his franchise and ranks in the top 100 under 35 with REP magazine.
Tom Storey, Team Leader of The Storey Team in Toronto, Ontario, began his career in real estate straight out of university at the bright age of 22. "I actually didn't like the idea of sales," Tom tells me. "That kind of made me nervous at the beginning. But when I realized it's really just human relationships, that was the moment I thought there was an opportunity here."
From tracking down leads over Kijiji to now delivering over 10,000 direct mailers to condo residents in the Toronto downtown core, Tom's business has evolved with strategic marketing, expert industry knowledge and a knack for creative and synergistic business development.
