Penile curvature is usually caused by Peyronie's disease. Peyronie's disease is an inflammatory disorder that affects the cavernous bodies, which are the spongy tissue (made of collagen) that is present in the penis. Peyronie's disease has 3 grades depending on the severity, and it can be caused by trauma or a congenital abnormality. The most common sign of Peyronie's disease is a penile curvature.
