  • #72- How to Trap a Man: What NOT to Do In Dating and Who Women Think They Need to Be to Get a Man

Ever "trapped" a man? Ug! What a joke that turns out to be, right? We are talking thirst traps, nice girl moves, being the cool girl and playing hard to get, all ways we unconsciously (or consciously) try to TRAP men! In episode 5 of this season, Elly and V (now known as Velly) talk about all the things they used to think they needed to do to “get” and “trap” a man!

The gals get side tracked from the topic right from the get go (classic #Velly) as V shares a little secret about what is to come as the next stage of her relationship… Spoiler, he likes it, so he’s planning to put a…. Then they start off talking about how humans tend to distort information, and how we get to intentionally remove those distorted lenses we may be viewing our partners from.

Back to the topic at hand, the gals invite us all to compassionately admit the lies we used to believe, or the ways we perhaps even consciously manipulate men, to attract them, intrigue them and keep them. Tons of behaviours are explored, like having sex too soon, not showing your true feelings, being the “fun girl”

"party girl" and “cool girl”, playing hard to get, shape shifting like a chameleon, over giving, being competitive with your partner, acting “like a dude” and even being fiercely independent. Relatable, right?

The episode also includes a little side bar: did you know Elly is celebrity enough to have her whole dating profile listed online? The ladies have a quick look at that and laugh at what the internet believes!

Also, HUGE news, Elly met somebody!? She teases us with just a feather of details. The rest is for next week’s episode!

Instead of what NOT to do, the gals also include what you get to do, including: saying what you want, being fully expressed, being playful, experiencing pleasure, enjoying life out loud and living full of wonder,

Velly also ask YOU, “What are the ways YOU used to be; the things you thought you needed to do to attract a man?” #whatIthoughtamanwantedmetobe

The Relationship Helpline brings the question: “How do I trust men again after hurt from my past?” and “How do I now let go of control in my current relationship?” An invitation to deeply feel the pain and heaviness of your past and have it witnessed, to then allow you to move forward. This brings up the intricacies of letting go- letting go of the past and letting go of control- to let yourself live in love.

This one is for every woman who wants to unlearn “the game” or have a laugh at who she used to be. So strap in, enjoy a dose of weekly Velly laughs (see what we did there?) and start Reclaiming Love for yourself!?

  • #71- Death and Rebirth: Endings & Beginnings, Differences Between Men & Women, Infidelity & Integrity, and Creating Healthy Relationships

This episode is for anyone who has ever asked, “Is this the end?”

It’s Veronica’s turn to share and go deep on how she’s Reclaiming Love in episode 4 of this season. Elly invites Veronica to share about a recent “break- up” (and we are not JUST talking about Bennifer). V shares about what’s been going on in her relationship, wading through some tough stuff, and a recent ending.

V’s shares give a beautiful reminder to have the you you are now consider how your choices will impact FUTURE you, preventing the need to use regret as a teacher later. Hear how Veronica and her partner broke through a major breakdown, have committed to leaving the past in the past and have recreated their relationship brand new.  Hearing how love can stand strong even in the face of pain and rejection is truly inspirational.

A great reminder that (like a maze) when you’re the one IN it, it can be difficult to find your way out; therefore using the guidance and wisdom of someone on the other side simply makes sense. Veronica also shares the details of a ritual they conducted together to allow a fresh start and create a blank canvas.

Elly holds V with so much love as she shares how she saw the intricate polarity and beauty of being both independent AND interdependent. A beautiful example of putting down the shield and speaking from the heart. She also shares a powerful question to ask when deciding whether to let something painful go: which is, “Are you done suffering yet?” A powerful story of how we may be lying to ourselves and enabling the ones we love by trying to “protect” them, and how we can release this by looking at what it truly is.

The gals then shift into discussing the difference between men and women and the ways we can better make sense of men, including a great book recommendation. Imagine making sense of how men develop, think, communicate and operate to make your relationship easy!? Magic, right? Spoiler alert, it includes ceasing the criticism, redirecting your focus, accepting stages of life men move through, as well as remembering to look at what you’re making a man’s behaviour mean about you (pst. It may mean nothing about YOU)! So simple, yet so many of us can forget, right?

The Relationship Helpline brings the question, “What do I do if I’ve fallen in love with a guy in a relationship?” Exploring: Why do we do that? Is it a chase? What’s the wound you we are choosing from? A nuanced conversation about infidelity, integrity, trust and the energy behind choosing someone who won’t or can’t choose you.

Let the gals take you deep once again in another heart expanding episode!

Time to "break-up" with a past version of YOU or your relationship? Did you know Veronica offers 1 on 1 coaching and couples sessions?

  • #70- Peeling Back Layers: Divine Feminine, Self-Discovery and Deep Emotional Expression

Heard of the sister wound? Lets go on a transformative journey through Elly's recent experience at a women's retreat facilitated by The Women's Space and EAWTC which loves women through just that!

Elly shares some intimate reflections from the retreat including the deep connections and healing it allowed, both with herself and with her “sisters” (including her ACTUAL sister, Becky who was also there!)

As Elly shares, it becomes clear how powerful and nurturing the presence of women truly is, and the connection that’s possible with the “Divine Feminine” energy within each of us.

Elly opens up about the profound insights she gained from this sacred experience. She delves into her intention for the retreat—to soften the barriers she held towards both men and women—and how witnessing Becky tap into her intuition, made the experience even more special.

Elly and Veronica then explore how we consciously and unconsciously create our realities (a favourite topic). They dive into the power of the mind-body connection, the “onion-like effect” of personal growth and how each layer we peel back brings us closer to our authentic selves. They also touch on how the limiting beliefs formed in childhood often come from subtle fractures, rather than a major trauma, and how we can now consciously choose to disagree with any societal expectations and conditioning that isn’t working for us, to create our own path.

The conversation continues with a focus on Divine Feminine energy—how it allows women to be in flow — as well as attract integrated masculine partners. The ladies also explore the power of breathwork as a tool for emotional release. Veronica shares her own experience of releasing suffering, illustrating the beauty of feeling and releasing emotions rather than holding onto them.

To wrap things up, the "Relationship Helpline" is back, where Veronica and Elly offer real-time advice to a listener.

Tune in for another deep, insightful, and heart-opening conversation as Elly and Veronica continue to “peel back the layers” (damn onions) in their journey of love and self-discovery.

  • #69- Persistent in Love: Stop Being Nice In Dating, Know What You Want and Make That List

Elly reflects on her recent dating experiences, sharing valuable lessons learned along the way; including her commitment to releasing any substance use and committing to celibacy, rediscovering her worth and standing in it through these commitments.

A beautiful insight is shared around the importance of being persistent with your “list” of what you want in a partner. Elly discusses how refining these criteria can lead to more meaningful connections and getting what you truly want as well as being patient with yourself as you learn to be a new way. Additionally, the gals explore the delicate balance in life between business and relationships.

They also delve into how personal growth and doing the inner work not only benefits ourselves, it also has a profound positive impact on the people we love. The ripple effect of this work can be truly transformative, creating healthier and more fulfilling relationships all around.

The “Dating Emergency Helpline” makes a return, where Veronica and Elly tackle a listener challenge around discovering their partner had been living a double life. The advice welcomes this listener to deeply feel her anger, somatically, to then let herself move forward free from resent.

Tune in and join Veronica and Elly as they blend fresh insights with practical advice, making Episode 2 of Series 2 of "Reclaiming Love" a must-listen for anyone navigating the complexities of love and relationships.

  • #67- It Is What It Is: Changing Your Perspective, Choosing Self Belief and Creating What You Really Want

If you’ve ever heard yourself resignedly say, “It is what it is” and believe it, this episode is for you!

If you’re not happy with your life, “It is what it is” is a belief I recommend you choose to reject!

This is a defeatist way of looking at things. It’s resigned and permissive. It’s what people say when they haven’t yet been shown there is another way, or are afraid to do what it takes to create things a different way.

It takes leaning into that fear and choosing a new belief, it takes choosing to believe something else, something better, is possible. It takes feeling the hard things to leave them behind. It takes deciding to do whatever it takes to create more of what you want in life. It is indeed possible to create a new life for yourself.

If you’re looking at your life and seeing it’s time to declare, “It is what I MAKE IT!” then enquire directly with Veronica about coaching here or check out the current offers on her website .

  • #66- Take All Of Me: Stop Oversharing, Stay Honest and Let Go of Feeling Like "Too Much"

Who else is an oversharer? Girl, I relate.

You'll often here me say, "Take ALL of me!" and "Be ALL of You!" So, what does that mean for you?

This episode is all about discerning what and how to share! Let's be radically honest and authentic AND share for a purpose, ya? And guess what, I haven't always nailed this.

I share a raw and honest experience of how I messed this up recently, how it could have lead to the end of my relationship, and help you relate this to your own life! Then I ask you to look and what oversharing often really is and give you a new frame for how to see this.

  • #65- I Regret Being A $lut: Healing Deep Shame, Guilt and Regret

I know I'm NOT supposed to say this but... I REGRET my sexual past.

Why is it somehow wrong in our culture to admit regret?

Regret is a feeling of sadness, repentance or disappointment over something that you have done or failed to do.

I failed BAD in my relationships of the past.

I hurt myself and others. And I regret that!

The thing is, those mistakes are "failure" that gave me feedback!

I get to feel the guilt and shame of this and CHANGE!

I get to deeply FEEL the regret, the guilt, the shame, release it to feel it, gain wisdom and move forward in NEW ways!

I still make mistakes in my current relationships.

When guilt and shame come up, I see there's something I need to look at, feel and CHANGE!

The guilt and shame ARE the feedback so that you FEEL what's not working and IMPROVE! You get to BE better!

So I will boldly say, what I haven't perhaps ever said,

    "I regret being a $lut"

This week's episode is one I had to crack my heart wide open to realise and I'd deeply love to hear if this has helped you.

Want to leave this version of "You" behind and truly be able to say, "This isn't me anymore!"?

  • #63- No More Breadcrumbs: Stop Settling, Let Go of Dating Fears, The Ick and Mentally Create a New Reality

A pocket sized episode filled with punch! The ladies start this one off with Elly answering, “What’s going to be different now?” If you’ve never seen a woman claim what she wants with a deep knowing of her worthiness, you’re about to, in Episode 10 of Reclaiming Love!

Elly proclaims clearly how much she deeply feels and knows that she WILL have what she desires! Through all of the deep inner work she has done, she has cleared out the illusion of fear and now holds such a deep “knowing”.

You’re all invited to decide what YOU want and start creating your own reality too, living more and more from love instead of fear. How? Get a coach! These girls know at least two (wink wink).

Once again these icons remind you that life gets to be GREAT! No more chaseies, just standing in that knowing and taking aligned action to become what you were always meant to be!

As Elly realises it’s time to date again, the girls promise to share how they see masculine and feminine energetic polarity with you in this season's FINAL coming episode AND have Elly redesign her dating profile with this in mind (live on the podcast for you all to see)!

We also hear the first mention of Festival Guy in what may or may not be a future segment called, “Inside Elly’s DMs” (cue 80s porno music). Good guys are defended once again by V, who reminds Elly that her getting “icked out” by trivial things is actually more a protective mechanism than anything else. V challenges Elly to stop creating unnecessary exit ramps out of potential relationships (mouth breathers welcome in V’s world) and see all the men along the way to “the one” as expanders (thanks Gym Guy).

The ladies wrap up by reminding you to safely and lovingly go out into your own lives with “f&ck around and find out” energy (to be clear, that’s NOT f&ck him to figure it out, very different).

It’s time to throw on your cosy pants, grab your snacks and join Veronica and Elly as they take the next turn on this ride towards deeper and deeper knowing and Reclaim Love!
