  1. Number 1: #321 - Anger Part 3: The Anger You Feel After You’ve Left the Relationship

Have an episode suggestion? Text us! In Part 3 of our anger series, we talk about the kind of anger that shows up after the relationship ends, when there’s more space, more clarity, and for a lot of people, a brutal realization of what you actually lived through. This is the anger that confuses you because you wanted peace. You thought leaving would automatically bring closure. But instead, your mind starts connecting dots: the patterns, the lies, the lost time, the double standard, the aftermath, and the ways you had to shrink yourself just to survive. We break down what’s happening neurologically and emotionally, why anger often comes later, and why it’s not a sign you’re stuck or doing it wrong. We also talk about the accountability trap, what happens when there’s no real justice, no apology, no repair, and how your healing can’t depend on the person who harmed you suddenly becoming self-aware. This episode is about turning anger into something useful: truth, values, boundaries, and meaning, so it doesn’t own the next chapter of your life. If you’ve left and thought, “Why am I still feeling this?” this one’s for you. Find video clips and full length video from this episode on YouTube and our other social media pages! 2. Number 2: #320 - Nobody Warns You About This Part of Recovery - Mindset Monday

Have an episode suggestion? Text us! In this Mindset Monday, I’m answering a handful of listener questions that all point to the same thing. You can be doing everything right and still feel off. We talk about the loneliness that shows up not just during addiction, but during recovery too. Being home with the kids while your partner is in meetings, rebuilding, doing what they need to do. You’re proud of them. You wanted this. But it still feels lonely and no one really prepares you for that. I also get into something personal. Chronic pain and staying sober. What it looks like to deal with real physical pain without going back to the thing that used to fix it. This one matters because a lot of people are dealing with both at the same time. We talk about uncertainty and how this life comes with more of it than most people can tolerate. You don’t get guarantees. You don’t get to know how it’s going to turn out. At some point you have to decide if you can live like that or not. We get into time and energy too. How much of your day is going to conversations that go nowhere, overthinking, waiting, hoping. And how much is actually going toward building your life. We talk about communication, but not the fluffy version. What actually helps and what just keeps you stuck in the same loop. And then we finish with something a lot of people feel but don’t say out loud. Is it fair to be frustrated when someone stops doing what they know keeps them sober? Short answer. Yes. But what you do with that frustration matters more than the feeling itself. This episode is real. No fluff. Just the stuff you’re actually dealing with when you’re in it. If you’ve ever thought, this is what I wanted so why does it still feel like this, this one’s for you. 3. Number 3: #319 - Paige's Perspective: Turning Guilt Into Growth

Have an episode suggestion? Text us! In this episode of Paige’s Perspective, we’re talking about the power of change and choices. How many times have you thought, “I’ve messed up. I’ll never change. I’ll never be enough”? Maybe it was after snapping at your kids, numbing out with your phone, or slipping back into an old pattern. One bad moment doesn’t define you. It’s what you choose to do next that matters. Neuroscience shows us that every time we make a new choice, our brains rewire to make that path clearer and easier. Guilt and shame aren’t proof you’re broken; they’re signals that something needs to shift, and they can become fuel for growth if you let them. In this episode, I’ll share practical tools for shrinking your focus down to the next choice, labeling the old trails that keep you stuck, and celebrating the small wins that add up to big transformation. Because every new choice is a chance to write a different story. And the power to choose again is always in your hands. 4. Number 4: #318 - Anger Part 2: When Everything’s Finally “Good”

Have an episode suggestion? Text us! Many partners expect relief when sobriety begins. Instead, they may feel confused, guilty, and angry when everything is finally going well. In this episode, Matt and Paige explore why anger often surfaces months or even years into recovery, not during the chaos itself. They break down how survival mode suppresses emotion, why the brain protects relationships through betrayal blindness, and how safety is often what allows buried feelings to finally emerge. They also talk about the guilt partners feel for being angry once their loved one is doing everything right, why being grateful and angry can coexist, and how avoiding the past in the name of moving forward often creates more damage long term. If you have ever asked yourself, “Why am I angry now?” this conversation will help you understand what is happening and what to do with it. 5. Number 5: #316 - Paige's Perspective: The Part of Addiction No One Talks About... The Spouse

Have an episode suggestion? Text us! In this episode of Paige’s Perspective, Paige goes back to something she rarely shares… her story. Not the polished version. Not the “we made it through” version. The real one. What it was like falling in love at 14, building a life together, and slowly realizing something wasn’t right. The confusion, the minimizing, the lies, the loneliness, and the moment everything finally came to the surface. She walks through what it looked like when Matt entered recovery, what actually changed… and what didn’t. Because sobriety didn’t magically fix the damage. In a lot of ways, that’s when her healing actually began. This episode breaks down the part of addiction that gets overlooked—the impact on the spouse. The anxiety, the loss of trust, the delayed emotional fallout, and the reality that you don’t just “move on” because someone gets sober. If you’re a spouse or partner, this will make you feel seen. If you’re the one struggling, this will help you understand the real impact of your actions. And if you’re somewhere in between, this episode will challenge you to stop minimizing, start being honest, and take a hard look at what it actually takes to heal.
