This episode is really just me reflecting on how hard self-love actually is—not the surface-level, performative kind, but the real stuff. The kind that asks you to sit with your emotions, hold boundaries, stop performing for love, and give yourself the care you’ve been begging others for.
I talk about how my self-love journey first started at 20, after walking through a lot of loss—divorce, leaving the religion I was raised in, and realizing how little I truly knew myself. That season cracked me open, and it’s what led me to therapy, healing, and figuring out who I was outside of what I was told to be.
Now, six years later, at 26, I’m still learning what it means to practice self-love in a deeper, more grounded way. I’m noticing how easy it is to slowly slip back into old patterns, to abandon myself in small ways, and how important it is to come back—again and again.
This isn’t a “how-to” episode. It’s an honest conversation about what’s worked for me, what hasn’t, and how I’m trying to do it better now. We talk about self-trust, emotional safety, giving yourself what your parents never could, and what it actually means to honor your capacity and needs—even when it’s uncomfortable.
Whether you’re just starting your healing or you’ve been on this path for a while, I hope this episode makes you feel seen, and maybe helps you come back home to yourself a little.
