Mandy lived with her Mother, and as boyfriends came and went, abuse became a normal part of Mandy's childhood. Then, at just 12 years old, her Mother's new boyfriend, a cop, would repeatedly, sexually abuse her. Warned not to say anything, Mandy accidentally let slip to her school friend, who in turn told the school councilor, who in turn, reported his behavior to the police. Brace yourselves for one of the most intense, harrowing, yet bravest guest stories we have ever had. What would transpire would result in her Mother and her Boyfriend taking their own lives. Guilt and regret would leave Mandy trying to follow in her Mothers footsteps. This episode is a hard listen, but shows that it IS possible to turn even the most damaged and traumatic childhoods into a life of hope, happiness, and fulfillment. Mandy you are amazing!!

Lack of self esteem and also lacking any feelings of value are common traits in people that have suffered from childhood trauma. Mays found the strength to realize that she deserved more, and that she was better than how she was being treated in her workplace, and in the advertising industry that she had worked so hard to succeed in. She teaches us that it is never too late to be happy. She found Yoga and Nutrition and literally turned her experience of being alive, completely round!

Mays had a thriving successful but very stressful advertising career for nearly 2 decades that she quickly realized was doing her health no favors.  The toxic environment, long hours, London party lifestyle and very demanding difficult clients & colleagues led her to a burn out that detrimentally affected her health. She reached a point where she couldn't carry on as she was, and everything came to a head when one of her clients became so angry she thought she was going to be physically assaulted. These events lead Mays to totally reevaluate her life.  She found Yoga, and with that, a spiritual connection.  She began healing her childhood traumas with healthy food & lifestyle techniques that led her to train as a nutritionist & follow her dreams and passions. This episode is for anyone who is suffering in the corporate world, trapped in a stressful job that they no longer find fulfilling, or even in an unhealthy relationship -  it's not too late to follow your dreams and turn it all around. What an episode to kick off Season 2! Paul was born with Cerebral Palsy, a condition caused by brain damage during his birth. As a baby he had limited movement on one side, and after diagnosis, his mother was told to expect Paul to live his life in a wheel chair. She didn't stop with that diagnosis, and found a doctor who would help Paul to walk! In school, having a limp and holding one of his arms at all times, he was bullied, and to add to that, he was told by his School Principle that he wouldn't amount to much and 'wasn't college material'.. So begins the come back of the century. Paul's story is so very inspiring, and his words of hope for anyone struggling are really worth a listen. Yes!!!!!

Welcome to Episode 50 and Season 1 Finale! Selvi remembers the devastation she felt decades ago, when she was given the diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease. What followed was a downward spiral of unanswered questions, medications, major surgeries and even near death. Nothing worked, she was trapped in her body's prison of pain and exhaustion. She lost friendships, relationships, and even her medical career, and worst of all, her desire to live. Enough was enough, as Selvi began to explore alternatives that would finally lead to her amazing and liberating, decade long remission. Her passion lies in applying these and other methods she learned along the way, to help others. An incredible story!

This was a mind blowing episode. Luke and Kyle discuss Emma's story, from the bravery of the years of surgery and the eventual loss of her eye, to the deceit and mistrust caused by her then husband.
