Dr. Eleanor (Ellie) Stein MD FRCP(C) is a medical doctor and psychiatrist. The course of her career and her life took a sudden turn when she developed myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and environmental sensitivities in 1989 during her psychiatry residency. She experienced the same lack of informed care that everyone else faces and as a result made the decision to focus her practice on chronic complex diseases. Since then, she has worked closely with thousands of patients integrating conventional and integrative approaches to help them improve their health and function. In 2017 Ellie had a significant improvement in health. She has spent a lot of time considering what led to this and how to teach it to others. Since retirement from medical practice at the end of 2022, Dr. Stein devotes her time to providing online education -- teaching actionable, no-to-low-cost strategies to people worldwide who are seeking guidance and support for chronic, complex diseases. Knowledge puts power in the hands of the people who need them. She finds it so rewarding to get messages from people who are improving their health and are regaining hope that improvement is possible with knowledge that already exists.
