The world of Scotch Whisky is rich with different intricacies and flavor profiles, and one such characteristic that is often discussed is the "region" in which a Scotch is produced. In this episode, I break down the regions of Scotland: Highland, Lowland, Speyside, Islay, and Campbeltown, and I even briefly discuss a sub-region of the highlands known as the Islands. Of course, I also do a full review of Springbank 10yr, a single malt scotch from the Campbeltown region of Scotland.

Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Famer Wes Henderson founded Angel's Envy with his Father, Lincoln Henderson, and they forever changed the landscape of bourbon whiskey in the US. In this episode, he breaks down exactly what that process looked like and how it forever changed the labels that we see on whiskey shelves today. If the debate of "bourbon" vs "finished bourbon" sparks your curiosity, you won't want to miss this one.

Lagavulin 16yr is the most expensive Islay Scotch that we have had on the show so far, but does it live up to the price tag?! In this episode, I walk through a tasting of it with Connor Gilbert, the host of "Who Gives a Dram" and co-host of "Bourbon with Friends" (@connor_whiskey on Instagram). Connor gives us a rundown of his trip to the Islay region of Scotland while walking us through a tasting of this delightful whisky.

In this episode, I talk with Adam from DC about some of my favorite tips for getting into whiskey, and he shares his favorites for cigars. We talk pairings, and even some strange tricks that I've never seen before. Make sure you follow Adam on Instagram (@dreamercigars_), Youtube (@dreamercigars), and Tiktok (@dreamercigars).

*The barrel pick has officially sold out! Huge thank you to all the patrons who made it sell so well during presale. More picks to come!
I used up a whole bottle of Blanton's bourbon doing blind tastings with other whiskeys in order to find some that were better, and I certainly found them. I also learned a lot about the flavor profile of Blanton's, and began to understand why some people love it and others hate it. It is a hot debate online, so I break down my perspective on the reason for the huge divide and discuss the bottles that I found to be as good or better than Blanton's!

There are a lot of new finishes in the world of whiskey lately, but I think it is safe to say this is the most unique finishing process being utilized today. Broken Barrel Whiskey Co is changing the game by unlocking a new dimension of whiskey: the oak bill. Broken Barrel's whiskeys are made by aging whiskey with broken barrel staves, in order to fine tune the flavor profile. In this episode, we talk about how this process was first created, and we review two of their whiskeys: The Cask Strength (finished) Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (awarded the best Kentucky Finished Bourbon at the World Whiskies Awards), and Heresy (Finished Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey).
