  • Ep 52: The Firehose - More is Not Better

Ever caught yourself trying to gulp down everything life throws your way, like drinking from a fire hose? Hold up, because we're about to shake things up. This episode is all about challenging the notion of 'more is better' and understanding how this mentality often leads to burnout, dissatisfaction, and a constant feeling of falling behind.

Here's the twist - the solution is constraint. It seems counterintuitive, but stick with me as I unpack how it aligns our actions with our true values and desires. We'll venture through the emotions of fear of missing out, disappointment, and uncertainty, as we consciously choose to limit ourselves.

  • Ep 51: Question Your Beliefs

Today I'm going to be talking about some of the pieces of advice that have been passed down through my family over the past 50 years of my life. As you will see in this episode, some advice was amazing, some of it, in my opinion, not so much. And, of course, as with nearly almost everything in life, nothing is black and white.  There is definitely nuance in using your own discernment to figure out what you want to believe.

I want to invite you to question any old adages or advice that have been passed down through your family to see if it serves you to keep following this advice, and if you want to tweak it, or come up with some new ideas to try on instead.

Anyway, I would love to hear from you and, of course, if you get stuck at any point with questioning these beliefs with love for yourself, I would love to be your coach.

  • Ep 50: Forgiveness

I will acknowledge that initially holding a grudge feels good and just and right, but over time it becomes toxic to us and to those who care about us.

I was taught to think about forgiveness in a completely new way based on the teachings of Dr. Edith Eger, a Holocaust survivor and psychologist, and the author of two amazing books - The Choice and The Gift.

I know that a lot of you are out in the world suffering because of the grudges that you're holding against other people, and I hope that through Dr. Eger's example, you'll easily grant forgiveness to release the chains of victimhood.

  • Ep 49: Worrying is Pretending

Just like my dear grandmother, many of us have a tendency to conjure up unnecessary worries. We fabricate threats where there are none, a survival mechanism that unfortunately contributes to our stress and affects our mental health. In this riveting discussion, we'll explore this pattern of creating our own worries.

I assure you, there's a silver lining; we can rewire our 'worrying' into 'positive imagining'. We'll delve into the 'Rule of Fives' as a practical tool to manage overwhelming worry. But more importantly, we'll learn to envision a brighter picture where things might just turn out better than we imagine.

  • Ep 47: Powerful Decisions

I once believed, as many of us do, that I couldn't trust myself to make sound decisions. This belief, especially prevalent in women, is one we've been conditioned to accept, thinking we are incapable of knowing what's best for ourselves.

Today, we'll explore how to eradicate this limiting mindset by learning to trust the wisdom of our bodies and the answers they provide to our most pressing questions. Learn about my approach to guiding clients towards trusting their judgment and acting confidently. If you're feeling stuck or indecisive, this episode might be just the push you need.
