  • Ep 40: Overscheduling

Get ready, because I'm going to let you in on a secret: the key to reducing stress, preventing chronic illness and leading a more fulfilling life is about doing less, not more.

Societal conditioning has taught us to glorify busyness and exhaustion, and it's wreaking havoc on our bodies without us even realizing it.

So, what's the antidote? Simply carving out time to just BE. Let's break from the norm, challenge our overworked, overscheduled brains and see what real relaxation feels like.

  • Ep 39: Coaching and Yoga

In yoga, for sure, the hardest thing is just showing up on your mat. Once you get there, it's gravy. Sure, it's hard sometimes and you're going to shake and sweat and surprise yourself with what you can do, but the hardest part is getting there.  It's the same with coaching. The hardest part is making the leap to sign up for it. Once you get there, it might be hard at times. You might not love everything you find out about yourself, but you will for sure be surprised by what you discover, and what you can accomplish.

Yoga teaches us that we are our own best teachers, and coaching is no different. You already have all the answers within you. As your coach, it's my job to help reveal them to you, by shining the mirror, and being there to guide you every step and every "Down Dog" along the way. :)

  • Ep 38: Self-Confidence

When I started my career as a life coach, I had to have a lot of self-confidence to begin, because I had never been a coach before. As a new coach, I was willing to face the worst-case scenario of a bad coaching session, or not knowing what to say to a client in a situation, or people saying no to me on consults.

I I had to be willing to feel humiliation. I needed to be willing to feel fear and do it anyway. I needed to be willing to feel inadequate. I'm not afraid going into these scenarios because I know that the worst thing that can happen to me is that I feel a negative emotion. I knew that these feelings came from my thoughts, and that I could handle any emotion. In this episode,  I'll show you how to do the same so you can become your favorite version of you.

  • Ep 37: Lessons from Failure

In this episode, I talk about the 8 lessons learned from real estate investing. It was a sobering experience, but thankfully, they taught me valuable insights that I'm excited to share. I realized that patience is still a virtue I need to work on, if we're not failing at least a couple of times a year, we're not playing big enough.

In this episode,  I'm joined by my former client, Avneet Singh, who shares how coaching helped her make those tiny shifts that took her out of survival mode to learning that she could choose the emotions she wanted to feel by using the tools she learned through working with me as her coach.

Avneet learned the power of self-compassion, and how it's okay to not have everything figured out, and that she could allow the space to take the next step in her healing when she was ready.

  • Ep 35: Belonging

I recorded this episode just after launching my first small group cohort of women on the path to becoming their favorite versions of themselves.

We met for the first time this past week, and it was nothing short of spectacular. I have been kind of teary about it all week reflecting on the powerful shifts that have already happened in my first small group coaching program, and how focusing our brains on the similarities can help us find commonalities between ourselves and people in different groups.

  • Ep 34: The Power of Tiny Shifts

Have you ever wondered how making tiny shifts in your thoughts and actions can completely transform your life to create the life you've been dreaming of?

It's not always huge aha moments that create change - often it's the tiny shifts and changes that add up to make a huge impact.

In this episode, I share examples from my own life of how tiny shifts can make a big difference overtime, like pausing before reacting to an event or situation, finding ways that everything in our lives (good or bad) is happening for us, and learning from my family's experience with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Everyone's journey is different, and I'm here to guide you on yours.

But the magic doesn't stop there ... imagine being part of a like-minded community of women all working towards becoming their favorite versions of themselves. The support and insights you gain from witnessing other women being coached on similar issues can be truly transformative. So why wait?

  • Ep 33: Oh Shit! Oh Shit!

When I was planning this topic, I was only thinking about the positive changes I've made in my life, and brushing aside or shaming the negative ones, and then I thought ... oh shit, I can experience both, and I will be safe if I feel them.

Through the help of my coach, Darryl, I was able to think back to past instances, like getting married, becoming a mother, and starting my career, and I was able to navigate these feelings and see that I could embrace both the shitty and the positive sides of the teeter totter of life.
