Are you the person your friends and family turn to when they have a problem? This can feel fulfilling for those of us who identify as helpers and caregivers, but it can also lead to an unhealthy role–the fixer.
Our tendency to fix things for others often comes from a place of love, but it can actually hinder growth—both theirs and our own. When we pause, breathe, and resist the urge to jump into fix-it mode, we create space for authentic connection and genuine development.
In this episode, I share tools and phrases to use that will help you practice offering support while also providing space for your loved ones to find their own solutions. We’ll explore how finding this balance will profoundly transform your relationships and help you live more in alignment with your favorite version of yourself.

Today, I’m excited for you to hear from some of the lovely women who joined me on my first retreat in Tulum. They’ll share how they decided to take this time for themselves and talk about the profound personal growth they experienced.
This retreat was more than just a relaxing getaway—it was a chance to connect deeply with ourselves and each other in a space that allowed for reflection without the distractions of day-to-day life. From powerful coaching sessions to impactful experiences we’re still reminiscing about, you'll hear how each woman walked away with something meaningful.
Many women feel called to the idea of a retreat but hesitate due to guilt or doubt over prioritizing themselves. If this is you, I hope you’ll be inspired by the way these women said “yes” to themselves and grew further into their favorite versions of themselves because of it. A retreat can be transformational–and this life-changing experience is possible for you, too.

The key to becoming your favorite version of you is often not just changing habits, but understanding the deeper motivation behind why you do what you do. The Enneagram is a powerful tool that identifies nine core personality types, each with its own motivations and fears that shape our thoughts and relationships.
Today, I’m joined by Professional Certified Life Coach Wendy Montgomery to explore how the Enneagram can identify roadblocks that may be keeping you stuck, and help you understand the changes that will help you break out of that cycle.
When you understand your Enneagram type, you gain the self-awareness that will help you uncover the patterns behind your behaviors and the motivations that drive them–something that is essential when you’re on a journey of transformation. But beyond identifying challenges, the Enneagram also helps you recognize the parts of you that are already amazing and strengthen your self-love and compassion.

When someone close to us is struggling, our instinct is often to jump in and “fix it” for them. We’ve all acted on that urge before, but true support isn’t about rushing a solution—it’s about giving them space to process without trying to steer their emotions.
Today I’m joined by my husband, Jon Parsons, to dive deeper into this topic. Over the weekend, we had a conversation about allowing each other to feel our feelings without trying to make things better. In this episode, we explore why the tendency to intervene is so common and how a shift in approach will strengthen relationships instead of straining them.
You’ll also hear some practical coaching insights on this ongoing process. It can feel frustrating when mindset work isn’t a one-and-done deal, but when challenges come up—like learning to “let” someone feel their feelings—you have the tools to continue evolving as your favorite version of yourself.

I just returned home from hosting my very first retreat—an unforgettable and deeply fulfilling experience. For some time now, I’ve wanted to create a space where my clients could step away from their daily routines and immerse themselves in personal growth, and I’m ecstatic to say that vision finally came to life.
In this episode, I do my best to put into words some of the indescribable moments of the retreat. You’ll hear about our rejuvenating yoga sessions, a powerful sound medicine ceremony that left us deeply moved, and the opportunity we had to swim in–and zipline over–cenotes. I’ll tell you about the people who made this retreat go smoothly and share some of the coaching moments that turned this event so impactful.
We laughed, cried, and made so many wonderful memories together. I loved my time in Tulum with so many amazing women, and needless to say, this will not be my last retreat! If you were unable to come along this time, I hope to have you on the next one.

She also provides a few strategies that will help you maintain control over the way you show up and welcome a calmer, more centered favorite version of yourself.

It is possible that you only need to change your relationship with yourself in order to enjoy your life more. Most of us go through life listening to the voices inside our heads. The problem is that some of these voices say things like “I am not worthy,” “What will other people think?” or “Who do you think you are?”
The negativity with which we speak to ourselves is holding us back from living the life we truly want. When you become your best friend, you realize that you can create an environment of safety and belonging for yourself.
In this episode, I explore how questioning this voice—with love, and without trying to get rid of it—can help you step into your favorite version of yourself. We look at the four steps to becoming your own best friend so you can start enjoying your life as it is now, while also finding the courage to change what is less than optimal.

Much of the work that we do in coaching revolves around relationships. Changing your relationship with yourself is the most impactful relationship we work on, but this personal growth can have a profound impact on your relationships with others.
Through coaching, we can develop better self-awareness, we can increase our emotional intelligence, and improve our communication skills. These changes can lead to deeper and more meaningful connections with others, but they can also reveal when certain relationships are no longer aligned with your favorite you.
When evaluating the impact of personal changes on relationships, I invite you to consider how your growth and living into a favorite version of you aligns with the needs, values, and the expectations of those closest to you.

Have you ever paused after someone asked, “How are you?” and wondered if you were answering honestly or just saying, “I’m fine,” out of habit? It’s instinct to pretend we feel a certain way because we think it will be easier for those around us, but this only leads to isolation and perpetuation of the self-doubt that holds us back from living the life of our dreams.
In this episode, you’ll hear from Nina, one of my current clients, about how she stopped pretending and learned that she deserves honesty–from herself and others. It’s scary to take the first step and ask for help on this journey, but as Nina shares, the self-trust and authenticity gained are worth it–and they are possible for you, too.
