In a breakup, you may not have the luxury of only thinking about yourself. If you have a shared pet, it can add a whole other layer of emotion on top of an already hard time. In this episode, we share our tips for managing all the situations that can come out of having a shared pet in a breakup. Both of us have experienced having pets and a breakup, and Clair has worked in an animal shelter helping rehome pets, where she gained a lot of experience counseling those adopting or rehoming pets.
