Ryan Gosling added another feather to his cap after winning the award for Barbie song I’m Just Ken in the best song category of 2024 Critics Choice Award. 

After it was announced that his track had won the category, the camera panned to a confused-looking Gosling - who darted his eyes back and forth as the announcement was met with cheers. 

As a result social media was ablaze with reaction - with one commenting that Gosling had “created a new meme

Newly unsealed documents from the Jeffrey Epstein case have now revealed allegations that the late financier recorded "sex tapes" involving high-profile individuals, including former US President Bill Clinton, Sir Richard Branson, and Britain's Prince Andrew, whose names have previously been redacted and have only been referred to as John or Jane Doe. 

While the documents released so far are sprinkled with names of other bigwigs like Bruce Willis, Cameron Diaz, Cate Blanchett, Kevin Spacey, Naomi Campbell, and Leonardo DiCaprio, they have not been accused of helping Epstein in any capacity.

Chinese comedienne and actress Jia Ling, known for her bubbly persona and her megawatt smile, has been super low-key in the past year-and-a-half. The plus-sized star recently revealed that she was losing weight for an upcoming role during her hiatus. 

Jia Ling underwent a strict strength training regimen, and now has visibly toned arms and abs as proof of her hard work. 

To shed 50kg in the short span of six months is an impressive feat, to say the least. To put it into perspective, that’s the weight of an adult.

Jo Koy was the last-minute host of the Golden Globes, and his opening monologue clearly showed how last-minute it all was. 

An average costomer spends about 30 RMB. Koy’s monologue was filled with cringe-worthy jokes about “Barbie” breasts and bitter jabs at a crowd that was audibly not on his wavelength.

“The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? At the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift”, he cracked a joke about Taylor Swift.

The singer pursed her lips as she stared, unimpressed, towards Koy, before taking a telling sip of her drink.

The ice park spans 810,000 square meters, showcasing the flashiest and most neck-craning sculptures with 250,000 cubic meters of ice harvested from nearby Songhua River. By day,  children ride around in sledges and whizz down slides made of ice. By night, the magic steps up a notch when colorful lights transform the park into a veritable winter wonderland.

Harbin, the renowned "ice city" in northeast China, has recently garnered attention for its skyrocketing popularity among tourists, particularly from the southern regions of the country. 

These visitors have been bestowed with a unique nickname ‘nanfang xiaotudou’ or ‘southern spuds,’ which is a playful nod to the shorter stature of southern Chinese people who resemble potatoes when dressed in winter attire. 

The surge in tourism was largely fueled by the allure of Harbin’s spectacular Ice and Snow Festival, which is a testament to the city’s remarkable capacity to transform the biting chill of winter into a spectacle of art and creativity. 

The festival usually closes at the end of February, but only if Mother Nature doesn't provide a warm spell before then.

David Beckham took another hilarious swipe at his wife Victoria’s ‘working class’ roots on a very posh day out. 

The couple celebrated New Year’s Eve with a lavish lunch at The Ritz in London, joined by Victoria's parents. The gathering was punctuated with an Instagram post from David where he captioned a photo of the quartet’s lunch at The Ritz as “Very working class”. 

In their recent Netflix docuseries, Victoria shared how she was drawn to David’s close-knit family and remarked. “Both of our parents work really hard, we’re very working, working class.” 

David then called out from another room: “Be honest!” “What car did your dad drive you to school in?” 

Victoria then makes several attempts to sidestep the question before backtracking saying her dad picked her up from school in a Rolls-Royce.

Kim Kardashian has just photo-dumped a large part of her 2023 Christmas party and her “winter wonderland” has left her on thin ice.

 Fans slammed the “Kardashians” star’s elaborate holiday decor at her $60 million Los Angeles mansion, which included faux snow covering her entire yard. 

 “With the money that was spent with this spectacle could you not have perhaps toned it down just a notch and donated a few million dollars to 100 poor families,” said one comment.

After becoming the second highest grossing concert movie with $250M WW after Michael Jackson’s This Is It, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is singing and dancing her way into the Middle Kingdom on Dec. 31. 

The fact that the movie is available online could throw a monkey-wrench in its China box office prospects where piracy could take a bite out of potential ticket sales.

Swift really appeals to many young Chinese women who admire her qualities of independence, political views, and, of course, because she's wholesome.

The singer was just named Time magazine's 'Person of the Year' and has been credited for singlehandedly boosting local economies at every tour stop.
