Whenever I hear clients say something along the lines of “I have to…” I like to reframe their sentence to instead say, ‘I get to…” or “I could do…”. The language change is so small, and yet the conceptual change is HUGE. This week’s episode 249 of the Fragmented to Whole Podcast is about choosing freedom: how a simple shift in language can change your life!

In this episode of the Fragmented to Whole Podcast, I’m talking about how building healthy boundaries helped me to understand that I have choices in everything that I do and sharing some examples of how a simple shift in your language can reframe your entire perspective of your life.

The biggest way to stop thinking that you don’t have choices in your life is to stop using phrases like ‘I have to’ or ‘I need to’ and start using the phrase, ‘I GET to’. You’ll be amazed at how freeing those little vocabulary changes are.
