Hi! My name is Peter Maestrey and I am an accomplished filmmaker, a Podcaster, and a Divorce Coach. When this journey began, I looked at what the world had to offer me as a man going through a divorce and found nothing of value. Everyone was selling me something, but not what I needed. So, I decided to transform and educate myself and others. I logged my experience and distinguished what worked and what didn’t and began speaking about it. I learned so much about myself through others that I decided to begin listening on a bigger scale. It was healing to be a listener, both for me and the guests. Not many of us were acknowledged for what we endured, so when someone asks us to talk about it, I’ve learned that it becomes refreshing to let it out.
Abbie Weiss, whom I turned over the microphone in this episode to is an accomplished transformational coach and human being. She is a dear friend and someone whom I have been developing my story with so that it could be shared with the world. It is with Abbie that this interview was born. It was in the very kitchen, telling the story of where I stood when my divorce became a reality that has us here today with you. You can find Abbie at www.AbbieWeiss.com and you should find her. Now back to the story.
I was with my ex for a total of 3 years and I do not regret any part of it, nor do I deny myself the pleasant memories of when we were together. Each day has a glimpse of what is possible for me and my future because of the coaching I have received and the many stories shared with me about what people endure.
In this episode and in this interview I will reveal myself to you and what I went through. How I created my marriage and then how I created my divorce. But in order to start, I want to invite you to how it began. When I was a little boy I loved Disney and Peter Pan. It was the idea of never growing up and having a Wendy where I would build mine from my childhood. I was to be Peter Pan and Wendy was going to be my boo. It was awesome. Then, one day on September 11th, 2016 I met who I thought was Wendy. And this is where the story takes off and I had to grow up.
