The fearful-avoidant attachment style is the one style that is the most often mistyped one.
While there are around 18 - 20% of people having an avoidant attachment style and 18 - 20 % having an anxious attachment style, only 1 - 2% of the population actually has fearful-avoidant characteristics according to attachment expert Heidie Priebe.
By saying that, all attachment styles can exhibit both behaviors in certain situations.
And to understand the actual difference between an anxious or avoidant and the fearful-avoidant attachment style, I have prepared 10 signs that you might have a fearful-avoidant attachment style.
