Do you feel like mindfulness is out of reach because you equate mindfulness with meditating on a beautiful beach?
Mindfulness means that you are aware of where you are at this moment; what you are physically feeling, what you are emotionally feeling, and what your mind is saying. It does not mean that you are feeling calm or grounded. It just means that you are aware.
Use this skill to start to become mindful:
Observe: take a look around and a look inside yourself and observe what is happening in this moment.
Just Notice: Notice what you are feeling, what your mind is saying, and if there is anything you can notice about the why, WITHOUT JUDGEMENT
Put words on: You are then going to narrate what is happening without adding judgemental statements, like I should be…
