I’ve been following Brandon’s career ever since he blew me away with his 10 minutes showcase presentation at HairClubLive’s #OpenChairNight. Creating eye grabbing collections, Wella Trend Vision finalist and Silver Award winner, and ‘Newcomer of the Year‘ finalist, it’s not an understatement to say Brandon has been making a name for himself as rising star in hairdressing. But it was last year when I was taken aback after watching an emotionally candid video Brandon had posted on Facebook, revealing some seriously dark moments that many of his large social following – me included – had no idea to the battles he has been dealing with.
Coming onto the podcast today to share more on this and dealing with his anxiety and panic attacks –– we’ve loads to cover. We will get to understand how his difficult early up bringing has formed a lot of the person he now is and how after the traumatic and sudden loss of a girlfriend, Brandon nearly fell out of an industry he loved, but for the promise he made to his girlfriend to one day win the British Hairdressings ‘Newcomer of the Year’ kept him going.
There’s so much in this conversation with Brandon that you can take heart from when you too may need to stay strong and positive in difficult times. Now hearing how Brandon obsession to becoming the best that he technically can be has seen him dip into being a hair educator, along with how being with his soul-mate and wife, Priscilla Messinger, is helping him to work towards his goals of one day possibly owning a salon group and academy, and all fingers crossed, winning many industry competitions and awards along the way, too!
I am so grateful to Brandon for sharing this conversation with me. Enjoy!
