How To Cut It in the Hairdressing Industry

EP248: Jack Howard – Remaining Relevant in an Ever-Changing Hair Industry Landscape

Listen Later

Being relevant is essential in this extremely competitive hair industry world. Keeping up to date can help an individual or business become more dynamic and marketable to brands, hair professionals and clients. This is something that todays guest––the globally renowned hair colourist Jack Howard successfully does.

In September 2022, Jack will celebrate 40 years in the hair industry. After 40 years, he continues to be one of the most successful and popular hair colorists in the world, remaining relevant in an ever-changing hair industry landscape.

Jack was one of the shows very first guests back in in early 2017. He was a leading name back then, but fast forward to today, it’s fair to say his industry profile has gone international on an epic proportion. You know why?  Because he didn’t just think “I’ve crushed it, so what more do I need to know and do!” Oh no, not Jack! He continually upgrades his knowledge and practice new skills in not just hair, but on social media and digital. It’s this never stop learning and evolving attitude hat has seen his industry persona grow even bigger with both hairdressers and brands from all around the world.

In this episode, we discuss in detail the importance of staying relevant, along with why it really matters. He will also share his new ways of working both here in the UK and North America. And I’m inquisitive on also getting Jacks approach to mindset, which by his own admission he has to work at to help him to continue to bring his A-game to his social media , education, clients and ambassadorial roles.

We’re couldn’t be more happy to have Jack join us again on the show. He is never short of being truly motivational. Enjoy!
