Self-doubt, fear of rejection, not-enough-ness. As entrepreneurs, especially women, these are feelings many of us have experienced at some point along our journey. Or perhaps they’re feelings you grapple with on a regular basis, and are without question, the biggest roadblocks to living your purpose and bringing your vision of success to life.
With a mission to help other women transform from underestimated to unstoppable, my guest on this episode, Jamie Kern Lima, is sharing the backstory behind her new book, “Believe IT,” and how the stories and lessons inside will work to help you ignite your deepest belief in yourself so you can step into you full power and achieve your biggest dreams.
While “author” is the newest accolade to Jamie’s name, she is most notably known for being a once-struggling waitress who turned her against-the-grain idea for a makeup and beauty brand into an international bestselling sensation called IT Cosmetics, which eventually sold for over a billion dollars to L’Oréal where Jamie became the first female CEO of a brand in L’Oréal’s 100+ year history.
Purpose-driven and belief-filled woman, mom, entrepreneur, CEO, author, and all-around icon - I’m honored to have Jamie on the show and know you’ll receive so much from her wisdom and joy that she exudes in sharing a piece of her story on this episode.

While I’m a total marketing nerd and love to talk about any and all things business strategy, one of my favorite topics to delve into is skincare itself. Of course, I always want to tie it back to business and professional development, which is why I think you’ll love the conversation I’m having with Teresa Baldwin, an Account Development Manager with Jan Marini Skin Research.
Teresa is a California Licensed Esthetician with over 16 years in the cosmetic aesthetics industry with most of my career being in medical skin care sales with a customer focus on dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and medical spas.
She’s also worked for some of the top brands in the biz, including SkinCeuticals, SENTE Labs, Cartessa Aesthetics (Capital Equipment) and now Jan Marini Skin Research, and her passion for skin aesthetics and helping business owners through education on product knowledge to hands-on professional treatment simply radiates through the screen.

It’s no secret that I advise every spa owner I work or speak with to have multiple revenue streams. Diversifying your revenue, especially with retail, is a no-brainer for aesthetic professionals, but with the world of retail and ecommerce rapidly changing, simply selling standalone products doesn’t have to be the only option.
In this episode, I’m joined by Julie Ball, the Founder + Chief Sparkler of Sparkle Hustle Grow, a monthly subscription box and online community for female entrepreneurs as well as the founder of Subscription Box Bootcamp. In addition to being a subscription box expert, Julie is also an author, speaker, community builder, and subscription box coach who’s been featured in Forbes, USA Today, POPSUGAR, and more. Together we’re discussing how spa owners can capitalize on the format of subscription boxes to see their recurring revenue sales soar.
