Alyssa opens up about her past trauma including being in and out of psychiatric hospitals as a teen and young adult, what her rock bottom looked like, the biggest turning point in her life, and how a combination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Martial Arts literally saved her. Alyssa also walks us through some DBT exercises we can all practice, and offers martial arts-inspired tips for setting healthy boundaries and cultivating self-respect. *Some content may be difficult for trauma survivors to hear.
