Welcome to today’s ICYMI, where we kick off the week with a quick game-changing tip from one of our guests that you might have missed.
It’s mental health awareness week, so we’re talking all things anxiety, and how to stop it from holding you back. Anxiety is all about control, but how do we stop that control from keeping us playing it safe and avoiding our fears? Tune in as we throw it back to Dr. Lauren Cook’s helpful “anxiety hierarchy” framework that helps you measure your level of anxiety when faced with challenges, and face your fears accordingly.
Dr. Lauren Cook is a therapist, consultant, speaker, author and founder of Heartship Psychological Services. Specializing in anxiety, she helps individuals and couples work through generalized anxiety, phobias, social anxiety, OCD, and more. She has a podcast called The Boardroom Brain, and has written three books, including the forthcoming “Generation Anxiety: A Millennial and Gen Z Guide to Staying Afloat in an Uncertain World”.
