Episode 224 hosts Dr Felix Li (Cosmetic Physician based in Singapore)
This is the sixth chapter of our miniseries, 'The Beauty Of The World'. (Please also listen to episodes 102, 107, 109, 113 & 118 for our other episodes and regions of the world)
In these episodes we host globally-renowned key opinion leaders to discuss their own regions beauty standards, aesthetic trends and the injectable market in their part of the world. We'll aim to understand what people find attractive, what influences this and celebrate the similarities and amazing differences amongst peoples faces and skin tones.
Felix is a trainer for Allergan Aesthetics across the Asia-Pacific region. We explore the beauty ideals of Singapore and some of the other influencial Asian countries.
We discuss how injectors in Asia might approach their patients and how local culture affects what is seen as beautiful. We also discuss a fundamental question posed by our Beauty Of The World mini series - are we as injectors guilty of stereotyping and assuming what beauty ideals would be suitable for our patients?

Episode 223 is a little bit different... instead of our usual episode style with one or two guests, we go big!
A fortnight ago Dr Jake & David appeared at one of Australia's biggest conferences, 'Aesthetics'. This annual meeting is convened by Dr Steven Liew, a renowned Plastic Surgeon and previous guest on IA on episodes 64, 126 &192. The goal of the Aesthetics conference is to disrupt the current way of doing things and to explore innovative ideas on how to improve safety and efficacy for both industry professionals and patients.
This year was no different and Dr Jake & David were invited to also do something totally new - a live podcast with a large selection of guests - in only 23 minutes! The brief from Steven was simple, 'Make people think'.
Our expert injector panel consisted of:
