Sonia C. knows that for most empaths, we’ve been the ugly duckling or the ‘weird’ one for all of our lives, which keeps our communication and expressiveness closed up. 

What are some of the symptoms of someone with a closed chakra? Well, the first tell tale sign is that they have a locked jaw or when that person over apologizes constantly. There is something about a disconnected throat chakra that feels energetically needy. Instead of being yourself and being able to express yourself, all you want is the approval of others.

It does take practice and some internal work. 

Sonia C. has been waiting for a miracle to happen for her Miracle March and it’s simply not coming. She is trying not to experience disappointment, but it’s super hard! Sonia C. has been looking for a home for a while and she keeps bouncing back between living in London or living in Paris. She’s waiting for a sign, but it hasn’t come yet. She wants an energetic Narnia to happen.

Sonia C. was doing some mentoring and noticed that several of her clients had experienced some amazing miracles and they completely bypassed them and focused only on the problems at hand. Woah! You need to take a pause and to celebrate what’s literally been in front of you this entire time! Some of her clients have been waiting so long for these miracles, and when they finally arrived, it was completely no big deal to them. How many times do we just walk through life not even recognizing the beautiful miracle that’s been presented to us?

Sonia T. reflects on what one of her miracles were today. She received a random text message from an old neighbor writing to her about how lovely and nice of a person she is. What a nice and sweet message to receive. When we start to talk about miracles, it actually raises your own vibration and you become so much more aware of all the miracles showing up around you.

Sonia C. isn’t as interesting as creating new goals or resolutions this year. However, she does want to lean heavily into having more awareness for herself and her surroundings. Sonia T. loves that her mom is not intensely focused on goals. As Sonia T. was looking back at her journals with her long list of aspiring goals, she realized that she had way too many. She had 47 goals! 

Sonia C. does love goals though! She might have to sit and reflect a little bit more on this; Whether she’s going to go with the flow this year or have some sort of gilding, although light, direction. Because she has such a go-go attitude and vibe, maybe having one goal per quarter will help keep things calm, collected, and grounded.

Sabrina has been feeling slightly anxious these past few days because there was a full moon out and her body could not calm down. She kept reminding herself that the moon was out and about, peaking it’s little head out, which meant there was a bit more psychic pressure generating around us than normal.

Sonia T. ran out of gas. She’s been in full production mode the last few weeks and she’s starting to feel the slow burn inside that’s telling her to be gentle with herself. Sonia T. is actually sore from doing yoga, so she knows she’s been out of balance and out of alignment for a while now. Sonia C. agrees. We just have to pay more special attention to the world around us and how they affect us. Empaths have enhanced senses for a reason! 

Sonia C. realizes that she was getting overly sensitive to other people. Their vibrations were kind of throwing her off, which created an internal snowball effect. She deeply cares what other people are feeling, so if she isn’t careful, their emotional turmoil can sweep her off her feet! So far, Sonia C. has been managing these vibes through taking a lot of mini breaks, showers, and mental reframing. 

Tool of the Week: That’ll do little brain, that’ll do. If it’s 8pm or after, everything is okay, you’ll figure it out tomorrow morning. 

Question of the Week: My family believes family closeness is a core value, but I don’t share this value. How do I best manage their expectations and set boundaries?

Sonia C. admits that when she landed in the States, her spirit was running a little bit on low. She’s been overworked and hasn’t had a lot of natural magic to spark her life back up again. There’s something about New Orleans that’s very mystical. Whenever Sonia T. gets out of her own neighborhood, she’s able to connect more deeply with her intuition and her spirit.  

One of the reasons why life has been more magical for Sonia C. is she’s been taking long walks with her daughter in nature. She and Sonia T. found themselves exploring near a swamp, and boy! There were a ton of signs beaming through. In language, we often use the swamp as a metaphor for trouble, but when Sonia C. was up close and personal with a real one in ‘real life’, she saw magical and positive signs everywhere!

Whenever a holiday happens, Sonia C. always has such high expectations. She wants everybody to get along and she just expects that everything will, so when things don’t, that’s when your energy can really get zapped. Holidays are often the most exhausting time for the highly sensitive. 

Empaths are also naturally very giving people. Maybe to the point where they have poor boundaries, but what do you do if you have an energy vampire stuck in your household for the holiday? You give like you naturally do and then say excuse me and go recharge in the bathroom! And then you get to leave and never come back! Just kidding. It’s important to remember to keep pivoting whenever you feel drained.

The eclipse is happening and everything has been giving Sonia C. epilepsy moods. This is the perfect time to take stock of what’s important. It’s always around these times where it feels right to just check in and see what’s working for you. Sonia T. has been having a bit of an uprooted week lately as well and she was finally able to get in touch with her grounding exercises to feel more centered and at peace with life’s fast-paced attitude.

• So many empaths write in asking for advice on what to do when they’re partner is not embedded in this world like they are. Buddy wasn’t an empath, but he had a grounding presence. You don’t always need another empath to keep you grounded. [10:50] 
• Living in the moment can be one of the hardest things you can do for your spirit. [15:35] 
• What were the beautiful gifts that were given to you by some of your family members and ancestors? [21:35]
• Death is just a gateway to the spirit world. [25:25]

Death and grief can strike at any time and that’s when so many of us take a pause, but really the biggest lesson here is it’s important to let the people around you know how meaningful and great they are to you while they’re still alive to hear it and appreciate it. Sonia C. knew Buddy for over 50 years and realizes the great grounding presence the man had for the empaths in her family. He was able to artfully hold space for them without shaming them for being ‘different’ or ‘too sensitive’. As Sonia T. says, he was able to let them play. 

Sonia C. talked to a woman in grief today. Her husband had passed away and she was trying to find a new identity now that he is gone. She spent her whole life devoted to him, and now she’s not sure what’s next. She feels selfish to enjoy life ‘alone’. She feels selfish to just go on adventures without being in service to someone else. The ability to enjoy life alone or temporarily do your own thing alone is a spiritual quality we can all benefit from. This is one of the ways you find your intuitive self!

However, learning how to create in a way that mirrors what we really want is our challenge in life. Your ego is the red light that stops creativity and stops you from being original and your creativity is your green light to finding inspiration and happiness in life. 

Sonia T. can always tell when someone is ‘too much’ in their ego when they’re unwilling to find a solution. Sonia T. spoke to someone recently and no matter what advice she gave to this person, that person shot it down super quickly and didn’t really ‘ponder’ in her creativity to see a path forward. It was painful! Our ego makes us unhappy and keeps us stuck.

How many times have you let your bad day bleed over and affect the person you’re closest to? Sonia T. found herself in an argument with her boyfriend and she realized that this argument was not only going nowhere, but it was dumb! She realized that she just had to let it go. Sonia C. knows we can sometimes let our own stress turn into drama that doesn’t need to be there. When this happens, recognize it’s just stress and you don’t need to use others as a boxing bag. Breathe and drop it! 

We get into the big poo of certain things in life and we can easily stay in that poo forever. You don’t need to look back on that negative period of your life with bad vibes though. You are in complete control of changing it. Sonia C. was feeling some of these bad vibes when she came back to Paris and she knew she had to take immediate action so that Paris would not be tainted forever with these ‘bad vibes’. She decided to reinvent herself and explore her city with fresh eyes.
