In this episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Jane shares the story of her 16-year abusive marriage. What started as a few red flags eventually turned into full-blown abuse once Jane got pregnant with their first child. Jane's ex began by putting down her appearance, which turned into criticism of her competence. And to top it all off, he took away her financial freedom with some extra help from his own toxic family along the way.

It's a story of future faking, coercive control, boundary pushing, financial abuse, put downs, autonomy, competence, isolation, enmeshment, smear campaigns, being good enough, gaining strength, support, rage, toxic families, fear, entitlement, vindictiveness, intergenerational trauma, custody, and court.
