When I was a child, I attracted life based on fear. I was rarely able to have fun, always afraid of what lay ahead. I spent a lot of my time playing fantasy as an escape from the present. In my mind, if I could dissociate from the present moment, I was okay. Or so I thought. But I was only looking for safety. Running and hiding from anything which would trigger me into having to deal with reality.

If you have a deep sense of fear that you hope will somehow go away, but you focus on being in a fantasy or not dealing with reality and you're continually fighting yourself and struggling, nothing will change.
