Today on the podcast we have Jackie Dawson back !! 🎙️ @jackied1023
Jackie is a mother, yoga teacher, deep feeler and an amazing friend.
(If you haven’t already - you can listen to our first episode we did together Yoga, Embodiment and Coming Home to Yourself)
I love Jackie so much. We talk back and forth about reality TV (how much we love it) and then we move into talking about the more serious stuff - the battle she was having with her body and within her womb for the past few years.
Jackie was bleeding non stop for way too long.
She went to doctor after doctor just to find out NOTHING.
She began to minimize her pain, minimize her feelings and believe that there was never going to be any relief to this problem.
And guys let’s be real it is NOT okay to be bleeding all the time. That is crazy!! Obviously Jackie deserved to live a life without this being a constant thing for her. She just needed the right doctor to listen and care for her.
Together we talk about this situation and the resolution that eventually came.
We go on many other side tangents like…
This episode really presents as a conversation between friends.Thank you Jackie for being vulnerable and honest about your journey sharing it with us.
What happens when two sisters with a five-year age gap grow up to become best friends? Discover the endearing journey of Rachel and Sarah Larson as they walk us through their cherished childhood memories and reminisce about Rachel’s nurturing role in Sarah’s life. This episode offers a heartwarming look into how their relationship has evolved over time.
Rachel, Sarah and I talk about the dynamics of their unique sister relationship.
How they differ as people and the ways that they've grown together.
At point Sarah was dating a guy that Rachel didn't like which *we've all been there* obviously put a strain on their relationship.
We talk about how they navigated that, what that felt like, and being on the other side.
What Rachel says about her relationship with Sarah... "Being Sarah’s big sister is one of my favorite things in my life. She’s not only my sister, she’s my best friend. It sounds incredibly cheesy, but it’s the honest truth. When things were strained it was one of the darkest times of my life. Wanting to save her but knowing she had to save herself challenged me in more ways than one. But, I am so proud of her for saving herself and growing into the woman she is today.
What Sarah says about her relationship with Rachel...."I’ve always felt close to my sister, but the times where things were strained were the hardest times. It’s so hard when feeling stuck in something you can’t get out of, knowing the person you’ve always looked up to is unhappy. I feel so lucky for where we are now, her open arms and endless support helped me get here. We’ve had many cycles and iterations of our sisterhood, this conversation explores the ebbs and flows through these cycles. Luckily, no matter what, there is always love as the driving force between us."
And for a lighter note, we indulge in our mutual love for reality TV, sharing our favorite shows and the entertainment they bring into our lives. This episode is a heartfelt blend of personal reflections, growth stories, and joyful conversations that will resonate with anyone on a similar journey.

Rachel is a peaceful body coach and trauma informed breath work facilitator, helping mid life moms in mid size bods finally feel at peace in their bodies through nervous system regulation and mindset magic 🪄
Rachel shares her story of growing up in the church in a time where purity culture was at the forefront. Her father was a pastor and she was in a household with many siblings. She grew up with messages that she couldn't trust her body and that her virginity was the most important thing she could have and give to another person.
After getting married at 20 and having children, she was faced with the aftermath of that messaging. She realized she was filled with anger and frustration as she hadn't dealt with past traumas and she wasn't living in her fullest truth.
She says in this episode that she was living her life as though she was “hovering over her body” not actually in her body. 😦 She struggled with body dysmorphia, constant crazy dieting, and a complete lack of self love and compassion.
Rachel now is on the other side of this with a mission to help other women feel more at home in their bodies.
