Brandin Cohen is the CEO and Founder of Liquid I.V. Brandin started the company in 2012 when he was 24-years-old with a game changing product - an electrolyte drink mix that utilizes breakthrough science of Cellular Transport Technology (CTT) to deliver hydration and other key nutrients into your bloodstream faster and more efficiently than water alone. Eight years later, Liquid I.V. has now sold over 100 million servings of their breakthrough Hydration Multiplier product. They’ve also donated over 5 million servings to people in need around the world, from communities in Nepal to Haiti, through their brand mission of one serving donated for every one serving purchased. The company has also taken on an all-star team of backers - like Kendall Jenner, Justin Bieber, Gary Vaynerchuck, Steve Aoki, and Maria Shriver -that have skyrocketed the brand to be the go-to brand in the hydration space. In this episode, Brandin tells us how he built a business with giving back as its key pillar, some of their craziest but smartest brand pivots, and how we can help them give back during COVID-19.

In this special series, I’ve been calling some of my dear friends to see how they’re doing in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. In an effort to provide some sense of comfort and normalcy, these conversations are here to provide you with good companionship while we’re all stuck at home, and to also let you know that we're here with you through it. This week features my friend Connor Holloway, a member of the corps de ballet of the American Ballet Theater. Connor and I met when we were young dancers at an ABT summer intensive in Detroit when we were in our early teens. While I quit by 17, Connor went the full nine yards, and has now performed in some of the company’s best shows like The Nutcracker, Whipped Cream, and all the company’s full length ballets. He also happens to run the company’s Instagram account. Connor and I discuss what it's like to be a performer in a time of solitude, how the arts are dramatically adapting, some sacrifices the whole team at ABT have taken, and how he’s using his role on the social media team to lift the curtain on the ballet world and provide support and love to the all the behind-the-scenes talent that helps bring ABT to life. ABT presents Together Tonight on Tuesday, May 12 at 7:00 EDT. Sending virtual love from my couch to yours!

In an effort to provide some sense of comfort and normalcy, these conversations are here to provide you with good companionship while we’re all stuck at home, and to also let you know that we're here with you through it. This week features my friend Madison Utendahl, the founder and CCO of her own content and social media company, Utendahl Creative. Madison’s a storytelling genius. She was on the founding teams of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Refinery29’s 29Rooms, and the Museum of Ice Cream, where she’s lead social media strategy and experiential marketing initiatives that have even won her two Webby Awards. In this episode, Madison gives us a masterclass in marketing with empathy, tells us about the non-negotiable addition to her routine during quarantine, how touching base with her grandmother has brought her solace and clarity, and the best advice she has for brands who need to be pivoting right now. Cyndi Ramirez wants you to chill. She's the founder and CEO of Chillhouse, a first-of-its-kind destination for modern self-care, offering facials, infrared therapy, massages, nail and pedicure services alongside a wellness cafe. After being frustrated with the lack of enjoyable and affordable spa options in NYC, she opened her first destination in the Lower East Side in 2017. Chillhouse has quickly become a go-to reprieve for New Yorkers in the midst of the city’s craziness, and has now expanded to a second flagship location in Soho, a clean beauty e-commerce platform, and a wellness publication called The Chill Times. In this episode, Cyndi and I talk about re-defining and democratizing self-care, how she transitioned from nightlife to owning once of the coolest spa empires in NYC, and where she sees hospitality going in the time of coronavirus.
