Listen Later

Starting a co-parenting relationship with someone who you no longer get along with is challenging, but it CAN be done in a healthy and respectful way. This week, author and co-parenting mom Darlene Taylor joins Michelle Dempsey-Multack to discuss taking the high-road in co-parenting. Darlene and Michelle understand how difficult it can be to take the high-road in the beginning of you co-parenting journey, but will educate listeners on:

  • Getting out of your own way to improve your co-parenting relationship
  • Allowing time to really heal your emotional wounds
  • Not wanting children to align with negative feelings
  • Avoiding speaking negatively about your co-parent
  • AND MUCH MORE

  • Darlene Taylor is a dynamic force in the world of co-parenting advocacy, authoring, and empowerment speaking. With over 20 years of experience working with families in crisis as a former social worker, she brings a deep understanding of the challenges that parents face when navigating the complexities of raising children post-divorce. Her mission is to break the stigma around divorced families and promote the idea of blended families as a beautiful transition.

Determined to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families, Darlene transitioned her focus to empowering parents to learn and implement effective co-parenting strategies. Her upcoming book, "It's Not About Us: A Co-parenting Survival Guide for Taking the High Road," is a powerful guide for parents struggling with co-parenting, written from her own personal experiences, to empower parents to create a positive and nurturing environment for their children.

In addition to her writing and coaching, Darlene uses her platform to continue important conversations around positive parenting during separation and divorce, promoting healthy family dynamics and the importance of effective communication and collaboration in co-parenting.

When she is not working, Darlene can be found spending time with her daughter in Los Angeles, enjoying obstacle course races, the beach, and playing tennis. To learn more about Darlene, her book, and her work, visit her website at darlenetaylor.com, where you can also access resources for co-parenting success through her coaching portal
