Hearing about men being led into battle and ultimately being lost is something that is never easy to listen to, but is necessary to digest as a nation keeping the promise to never forget about its soldiers that pay the ultimate sacrifice. I sat down with Jeff Morris, author of “Legion Rising” about his role as an Army captain in charge of numerous men lost at the height of the Iraq war. Many tough memories recounted on this one, memories we all need to be aware of.

Being a veteran entrepreneur myself, I find it extremely beneficial and therapeutic to sit down with fellow veteran entrepreneurs. In this episode I sit down with Nick Bare (@nickbarefitness) former Army officer, founder and CEO of Bare Performance Nutrition to discuss both his story and go over some great lessons learned on starting a business from scratch while on active duty.

There are times when I have the opportunity to sit down with some extraordinary men and am routinely humbled by their stories. This was absolutely one of those times. Mike Day is a retired Navy SEAL who was shot 27 times on one mission, and managed to kill the 4 insurgents who shot him, then walked himself to the medical helicopter. This is one of the most remarkable stories I've been honored to be told first hand, and one that I know you guys will appreciate.

I've had the pleasure of speaking to quite a few fellow combat vets about their experiences in the Middle East. Even with that, I wasn't prepared for hearing Ephraim's account of the battle for taking back Mosul from ISIS after U.S. Forces pulled back. Author of "City of Death" and founder of Stronghold Rescue and Relief, Ephraim Mattos shares his detailed account of a truly remarkable battle in one of the oldest cities on Earth.

Arguably the most polarizing story in the history of the SEAL Teams, the war crimes accusations surrounding Eddie Gallagher have made it a tumultuous story for our entire nation. The president intervened when pre-trial confinement protocol wasn’t being followed, the media has portrayed a narrative and perspective, now it’s time to hear Eddie’s side of the story. I sat down with Eddie face to face, and wanted to get all of the questions I think most of us have answered. Irrespective of what side of the fence you sit on, listen to the whole thing and get all sides before you judge.

The inspiration that comes from speaking with real life heroes is impossible to quantify. I continue to be humbled by the caliber of individuals that are willing to share their story with me. In sitting down with former green beret/unit member and owner of Fieldcraft Survival, Mike Glover, I continue to be amazed. After 20 years of service to this country in the highest of capacities, we talk about his experience as tomb guard, green beret, and Tier 1 operator. More importantly, we talk about how those experiences shaped who he is and how he brings that knowledge to your everyday citizen through his company, Fieldcraft survival.

This episode is especially meaningful for me. Two of my closest friends, (Clint Emerson and Shane Hiatt) that I’ve been to war with,  and all three of us close with Glen Doherty.  We talk about our time together with Glen in platoons at SEAL team 3, Iraq, and transitioning out into entrepreneurism afterward. Never a dull moment with these two bad asses.

With all the conflicting information out there about health and nutrition, I feel obligated to bring different folks on regularly to discuss the ins and outs of all things food. In this episode I sit down with nutritionist and fitness model Rachel Scheer, and she drops some serious knowledge. Grab your notebooks on this one!

A strong, powerful and independent woman who perseveres through whatever stands in her way... is a perfect description for my guest on this episode. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Lt. Commander Nikki Selby, a combat veteran flight nurse with an absolutely incredible story she was kind enough to share with us. Prepare to be inspired folks- this one is fantastic.

Our way of life that has become routine and ordinary is one of the biggest contributors to our societal degradation. The only way to fix this issue is for each of us to act, and that starts with setting the example. In this episode I sat down with Jason and Iris Gardner, and they exemplify such an example. Very raw emotion from both about life experiences, the horrors of combat, sexual assault, and the positives we can all draw and learn from with those experiences.
