I quit my job a year ago. It was the first time in recent memory that I truly, genuinely hoped for something. Without shooting myself down, anyway.
My mantra of "No hopes!" kept me safe for a long time. But what was it keeping me safe *from*? Failure? Or success?
In this episode, I talk about my hope journey, and why it was vital to complete it to maintain the work I'd done on my weight loss journey. What will you hope for this week?

We need to talk.
Don't worry, I'm not about to tell you to "eat less and move more." What more are you going to gain from a skinny guy telling you that again?
Weight. That's what you'll gain. Because it changes absolutely nothing for you to hear that again. You know how the biological process worked, but nobody ever made an attempt to explain how you as a human being fit into the equation.
That being said, we need to talk about a few things. And hopefully, one or two of them will humanize your journey.

We're always talking about what we CAN do on a weight loss journey, which I'm very grateful for. It's a much-needed shift in the weight loss conversation that has for years been bogged down with everything you can't and shouldn't do.
However, there are SOME things you really can't do anymore if you want to lose 100 pounds and keep it off for good. In this episode, I'll cover 6 of the unexpected things that actually might be slowing down your progress, and you're probably doing a few of them.
Charlotte Skanes lost 200 pounds, and knows how to enjoy every step of the process. Now she helps others to do the same, and sat down with me today to share some of her secrets. Thanks Charlotte!
