This came in through a questions box I did on Instagram. I said “If I could coach you for free for 30 minutes, what would you ask?” And someone responded with “how do I overcome the belief that I'm not smart enough to start a business?”

This brought me to here behind the mic recording this podcast episode, because being smart or educated in something is a process, not an identity. Instead, may I suggest adopting the mindset of a scientist in your business, observing what causes desirable effects and what doesn't. There is a lot of value in curiosity and beta testing in the early stages of business, and how it can lead to finding what works and scaling it further.

The very first time I ever walked into a Louboutin store to buy my very first pair of red bottoms I had dreamt about it, I had researched, I knew exactly what pair I wanted, and I knew what store they would be in, and I walked in. I flew to New York City to have it be a whole experience. Now, mind you guys, like I'm the girl who grew up in a trailer, one bedroom trailer that my dad and step mom slept in. We walk in and I am just filled with anxiety. My stomach is just a complete wreck and I'm like, “They're going to know I was the girl who grew up in the trailer. They're going to know I don't belong here. They're going to know I'm not like a multi-millionaire. They're going to know I don't come from wealth.”

Everybody feels like an imposter, like they don't belong somewhere. If it's somewhere that they've never been or never spent a lot of time in. But I'm like, I kind of hope they know because the second that I feel like this is just normal for me or whatever. That’s the second that it starts to lose the magic.

I never want to lose the magic!

There's an interesting debate happening in the entrepreneurial world around do we need pressure in order to succeed? Do we need to learn how to be able to sustain pressure in order to have the success that we want in business?

And I understand why this conversation is happening, and I want to be a leader in it because I think I have a unique perspective that's going to be so useful to you. Being able to not only have all the success that you want in your business, all the impact that you want in your business, but being able to sustain it. A lot of people are thinking like, well, pressure is helpful, I need it to move. But is that pressure coming at a cost? And how much will it cost over time?

In this episode I bring to you a conversation with one of my long time clients Taylor Simpson. Taylor is a Soul Activator, Podcast Host and founder of UNTAMED.

This is like a peek into our what it sounds like when we talk on our coaching calls.

But what I wanted to talk with Taylor on the podcast is we have been working together for a really long time and because we're so much in each other's energy all the time. It's crazy how we get the same downloads at the same time, and all of a sudden Taylor will come to me and she'll be like, “I’m creating this program called KNOWN. And I'm like, Oh my God, I have a program called KN/OWN that's coming out” we've done this twice now that it has become kind of eerie. But I swear, we're just riding the same vibrational wave and grabbing downloads.

And what I wanted to share is neither one of us have ever backed down from our programs, and we've never felt competition around names, branding or whatever. And we've both we've literally launched at the same time!
