Belinda helps people write copy that makes them money. Whether it's teaching copywriters how to run successful businesses or business owners how to write more effective copy themselves, she has courses, coaching and mentoring that builds skills and confidence. But she wasn't always a copywriter. Belinda worked as a computer programmer, then in marketing before discovering copywriting was her jam.

This week’s episode is going to touch on a very trending topic, which is that latest announcement by Instagram: “Instagram is no longer a photo-sharing app.”
I’m going to share my take on what this really means and how this announcement affects you as a business owner, whether you are a soloprenuer or a company.
LISTEN NOW
Instagram did not say that they’re getting rid of in-feed posts or the ability to share photos in the app. But what did they come out and say is that they’re putting more focus on videos.
I’ve shared this to my community here in Mums With Hustle and with the members of my Social Method Society... and what I want to highlight in this episode is that Instagram has been moving in this direction for years.
Aside from highlighting video contents, Instagram also shared key areas they will be focusing on going forward. These include Creators, Instagram Shop and Messaging. So you can expect more features will be rolled out on Instagram.
And if you are someone who feels like brushing up your Instagram skills, or video confidence, or you want to stay current on what’s working on Instagram for your beautiful business...
Then I highly encourage you to jump-on the waitlist to my Social Method Society and get yourself an invitation to join us! Head on over socialmethodsociety.com and pop your name down.
On Part 2 of this 2-episode Series, I’ll walk you through hashtag news which is another announcement by Instagram that has caused some confusion.
“How many hashtag should I use now?” You’ll find out in the next episode.
Until next week, stay happy in your hustle.

If you ever wondered how to get out of a creative slump and re-ignite your momentum back into your business... Then this episode is for you!

As a business owner, do you feel guilty taking a break or taking some rest?
Let’s get one thing clear - your ability, as business owners, to innovate, think creatively, feel inspired is proven to be less when you’re always ON.
You need SPACE.
You need white space in order to feel restored, refreshed, rejuvenated, and to have those moments where you can think strategically, be creative, feel inspired and of course, to have good business mojo.
That intentional thinking time is so important. I’d go as far as to say it’s actually necessary for business owners, especially as your business grows and you move into that scaling phase.
Because here’s the truth: When you rest, it is good for your business.
Taking time to rest is also going to have you design your business in a way where it can operate without you. This might mean automating some things. Here are 5 Automations For Your Business (Even If You Aren’t Techie).
What things do you need to have in place so that you CAN take time off from your business?
That’s a question worth pondering right there.
Let me know your answer by sending me a direct message on Instagram @mumswithhustle or comment on one of my posts! You can also email me at [email protected].
Until next week, stay happy in your hustle.

On this week’s podcast, I’m going to answer a question from one of the beautiful members of my Social Method Society: “I sent a gift to an influencer and they didn’t respond at all. What do I do now?”
LISTEN NOW
The law of reciprocity is that they will want to thank you or share it with their audience or do something in return. But when someone doesn’t respond in this way it can make you feel... confused and also let down.
Girlfriend, know that if an influencer did not acknowledge your gift, it could be because of various reasons such as:
- Maybe they never received it.
- Maybe they did receive it and meant to thank you but they forgot.
- Maybe they feel uncomfortable acknowledging the gift because they fear the expectation that they have to give you a shout out or share it but they can’t or don’t want to.
(Looking for gift ideas for your next virtual event? Read here>>>)
If this ever happens to you, I hope you don’t choose to let how you feel in this situation dictate what your relationship looks like with an influencer beyond this point.
I also hope that this one experience doesn’t prevent you from ever gifting things to others.
The world needs more kindness and not less. The world need more random gifts without expectations and gifts that come from a place of love.
Until next week, stay happy in your hustle.
