What if you could reclaim hours of your time each week—just by documenting and automating the simple tasks you're already doing?
In this episode, I sit down with Glen Young of Cold Springs Organics, a Farm Marketing School member and automation-building wizard, to talk about how he's using Zapier + AI to automate processes in his farm business—from order management to email marketing, lead tagging, customer onboarding, and even abandoned cart follow-ups.
Glen shares how he went from juggling everything manually to building smart, scalable workflows that save him time and create a better customer experience. He walks us through his "white belt to black belt" automation philosophy, shares the tools he's using (and loving), and explains how he's using ChatGPT to document and coach his systems into existence.
🎧 If you've ever felt like you're doing everything yourself (and it's too much), this episode will change how you think about building systems in your farm biz—one Zap at a time.
Podcast Guest: Glen Young
Glen is the owner of Cold Springs Organic Farm in Campbellcroft, Ontario. He has a background in engineering and worked for 15 years in information technology. During that time, he built enough of a real estate portfolio to semi-retire and spend a lot of time with his young boys. In 2016, he and his wife Amy welcomed a new baby girl into the family. Baby Grace's birth really opened Glen's eyes to the risks of climate change and problems with the industrial food system, so Glen found a friend and investor to help him form a joint-venture, buy some farmland and start farming carbon.
His goals are to make the farm an example for sustainability and to accomplish this, he's been racing to make it financially sustainable. Glen lives with his amazing wife Amy and three children just east of Toronto, Canada and always loves to connect with other small-scale farmers or aspiring farmers in the area so don't hesitate to reach out to him!

What happens when a total city girl decides to go all-in on the homesteading life… and ends up building a full-blown farm business from scratch?
In this episode, I sit down with Beth DeClerq, a self-taught homesteader who started out just wanting to be self-sufficient—and ended up creating a profitable farm business that's now helping her family build toward a full-time income.
Beth didn't grow up farming. She had zero experience with animals or agriculture. But one step at a time—raising chickens, gardening, milking a cow, selling eggs—she figured it out. And along the way, her neighbors started asking if they could buy from her. Fast forward to today, and Beth is scaling her farm operation, growing an online membership that teaches homesteading skills, and using the early bird sales system she learned from this podcast to sell out her pastured poultry… before they've even hit the freezer.
🎧 This is a story of grit, organic growth, and leaning into your niche. Tune in to hear how Beth turned her side hustle into something bigger—and the key takeaways she's learned along the way.
Today's Podcast Guest: Beth DeclercqBeth Declercq is a city-kid-turned-homesteader, raising 8 kids with her husband Tommy on 10 acres in mid-Michigan. She originally began homesteading with the desire to provide better food for her family, but eventually their change in lifestyle grew into a longing for financial self sufficiency too. Their small homestead now generates enough revenue to cover all it's own costs, and then some, and they are currently on the journey of scaling from family homestead to a small farm.

Ever wonder what it really takes to sell premium farm products with confidence—and actually make money doing it?
This week, I sit down with Stacie Edwards, a Farm Marketing School member who once felt nervous about charging "too much" for her meats. Today? She knows her numbers, prices for profit, and runs her business with the mindset of a CEO. But that transformation didn't happen overnight.
Stacie's journey is full of hard-won lessons: from hiring her first coach, to outsourcing hog production, to finally letting go of the fear that held her back from charging what her work is truly worth. She shares the real story of what it takes to step out of a scarcity mindset and step into profitability—without apology.
🎧 Whether you sell meat, veggies, or any farm product, this episode is a must-listen for anyone who wants to shift their mindset, get clear on pricing, and build a business that lasts.
Meet Today's Podcast Guest: Stacie EdwardsStacie is the owner and farmer at Edwards Family Farms in Nebo, North Carolina, where she and her husband raise high-quality pasture-raised chicken, pork, and beef. When Ruth Ann Majauskas first launched her flower farm in 2020, she tried a little bit of everything—farmers markets, retail, subscriptions. But the magic happened when she shifted her focus entirely to wholesale… selling flowers directly to florists.
What started as trial and error quickly evolved into a streamlined system with loyal buyers, consistent orders, and a workflow she could count on. Now, Ruth Ann runs a thriving wholesale flower farm business—and she's helping other flower farmers learn how to do the same.
In today's episode, she shares how she built her florist-focused business model, what makes the wholesale florist buyer tick, how she finds and communicates with them, what software she uses to manage weekly orders, and more. She even reveals how she uses the same marketing framework I teach inside Farm Marketing School—tailored specifically to florists.
🎧 Tune in to hear how Ruth Ann built her flower business from the ground up—and how you can too.
Meet Today's Podcast Guest: Ruth Ann MajauskasRuth Ann Majauskas is the owner of Abundant Blooms Flower Farm in Dorr, Michigan. She started her farm in 2020 with her then three small children in tow. After dabbling in a few different sales models, she discovered her niche—selling flowers to florists—and now sells exclusively to them.
In December 2024, Ruth Ann launched a YouTube channel and online course, Selling Flowers to Florists, to teach other flower farmers how to do what she does. She's a wife and homeschooling mama to five children. When she's not farming, she enjoys trips to Lake Michigan with her family and reading a few paragraphs from her book each night before bed.

Imagine launching a brand-new U-Pick strawberry business... with only a few months to get everything in place. No website. No email list. No customer base.

David had just completed the Farm Marketing School (FMS) project on "Auditing Your Sales Funnel," and came prepared to share his homework. It started with a few innocent dog scratches. My dog Daisy was itching like crazy, and I began to wonder: could it be her food?
One Google search later, I found myself tumbling headfirst into a raw dog food rabbit hole—complete with Facebook ads, blog articles, YouTube videos, and a subscription box I could not refuse.
In just seven days, I went from "hmm, maybe I'll try something new" to full-blown raw food DIYer with a freezer full of meat and a meal plan I created myself. And I didn't just buy dog food—I bought into an identity shift. I wanted to become the kind of person who makes her own dog food.
In this episode, I walk you through that transformation—from unaware to superfan—and break down the stages of the sales funnel framework that brought me there. I'm also challenging YOU to think critically about how your farm's sales funnel is designed to do the same thing for your customers.

Are you charging enough for your farm products or services?
Recently, I was on a coaching call with a farmer who ran a wedding event space on their farm. They were booked solid for over a year—yet hadn't raised their prices in years. That's a major sign they could (and should) charge more.
The truth is, most farmers hesitate to raise prices because they're afraid of losing customers. But what if I told you that keeping your prices too low could actually be hurting your business?
In today's episode, I'm breaking down five key signs that it's time to increase your prices—and how to do it with confidence. Whether you sell produce, meat, flowers, CSA shares, or even farm experiences, this episode will help you rethink your pricing strategy and ensure your farm is profitable.

Is your farm's sales funnel doing a great job of bringing in first-time customers—but then dropping the ball when it comes to getting them to buy again?
I recently coached a farmer who sells grass-fed chicken, pork, and beef by the cut, along with farm bundles and beef shares. He had an amazing sales funnel that was driving leads and converting first-time buyers like clockwork. But here's the catch he had no system in place to encourage repeat buying.
In today's episode, I'm sharing what I told this farmer to focus on next to boost his AOV and order frequency—and I'll give you a checklist of ideas you can implement to build out your own post-purchase system.
Tune in now to learn how to turn first-time buyers into loyal, repeat customers!

A few weeks ago, my farmer friend Glen Young (shoutout to Glen!) sent me a message: "Hey, Corinna—did you know your website pop-up isn't popping anymore?"
Uh-oh. Turns out, something had changed inside Kit.com (my email service provider), and I needed to go behind the scenes to tweak a few settings. That pop-up is one of the biggest drivers of email signups for my farm, so I was SO grateful he caught the issue before it went unnoticed for too long.
This got me thinking—how many farmers have a lead magnet set up but aren't actually promoting it in the right places? Or worse, have no idea if it's even working?
So today, I'm breaking down 5 key places you should be advertising your lead magnet so you can grow your email list faster and turn more leads into customers. Plus, I've got a free resource to help you brainstorm 20+ farm lead magnet ideas so you can get started today!
Your homework from this episode is to pick ONE of the ideas I share in the episode and start promoting your lead magnet there on a consistent basis every week!
