Do your farm sales feel unpredictable? Are you waiting and hoping customers will buy, instead of creating intentional sales spikes?
Imagine if you could forecast your revenue and know exactly when your next big influx of sales was coming. That's the power of Marketing Peaks—planned, high-energy sales events that create urgency, drive customer action, and help you hit your revenue targets.
Most farmers don't realize that retail businesses (including big brands) strategically map out four or more marketing peaks every year—and your farm should be doing this too. But how do you find your farm's natural peaks? And what if you don't have an obvious seasonal holiday to work with?
In this episode, we'll explore: ✔ What a marketing peak actually is (Hint: You probably already have one and don't realize it!) ✔ The four most common peaks that every business should plan for ✔ How to identify YOUR farm's perfect marketing peaks (beyond just Black Friday or CSA sign-ups) ✔ Creative, non-holiday sales events you can fabricate to stimulate buyer behavior ✔ How marketing peaks interplay with cash flow & financial planning
👉Hit play now and start building your farm's most profitable year yet.
Plus, I'm sharing a free resource to help you map out your farm's marketing peaks—so you can create a predictable revenue plan instead of just "hoping for sales."

It's our 300th episode!! Wow. Can I make a confession?... I didn't realize this important milestone moment until 10 days ago. And by then, it was too late. I realized I had missed my chance to make this moment a "Big Deal" and build momentum for my brand. There were SO many things I could have done with this episode!... invited a special interview guest, held a giveway, gotten a round-table of farmers who have coached with me to hear their transformative stories, or "looked back" at where I've been.
So I decided to turn this into a learning opportunity for all of us. I'm "going meta" as we use this milestone episode to discuss the marketing power of YOUR farm's milestone moments. I'll share the lessons I learned from forgetting to celebrate this big achievement—and give you a roadmap for using anniversaries and other key dates to grow your farm's business.
In this episode, you'll discover:
Why milestones create powerful marketing opportunities
The psychology behind milestone marketing (and why it works)
3 types of milestones you should celebrate
Creative ideas for turning milestones into marketing gold
How to name and promote your milestone celebrations
Your Action Step: Identify one upcoming milestone in your business and brainstorm three ways to celebrate it. Need help? If you're a member of Farm Marketing School, you cann download my free Milestone Celebration Planning Worksheet to get started!

Ever driven 4.5 hours for answers? I did. In this episode, I share a personal story about driving all the way to Chicago to see a chiropractor from my past, Dr. Allan, because I knew he could help me. Within 10 minutes of our session, he confidently declared, "I know what this is, and it's something we can fix pretty easily." Instantly, I felt relief and hope.
Dr. Allan wasn't just a healer—he was a guide in my customer journey. He exuded authority, showed confidence, and gave me a clear success path. It was a game-changer.
This story led me to reflect on your role as a guide in your customer journey. Are you showing up in the way they need? Are you acting like the trusted expert who confidently points the way forward?
Inspired by Donald Miller's book Building a StoryBrand, I break down what it means to take on the role of the guide in your marketing and customer service. I share practical tips on:
