Alexi Pappas is an Olympic runner and an award-winning actor and writer. Her memoir-in-essays, "Bravey," was one of my favorite books of the year. She opens up about chasing her wildest dreams, competing at + becoming a national record holder in the 2016 Rio Olympics. But it was what happened AFTER the Olympics that really shaped her. She had severe clinical depression hit, so badly she almost took her own life.
