The Waiting Room on Dublin Talks: Christmas Drinks
Every week on Dublin Talks we have your medical questions answered in The Waiting Room.
Dr Sharon Delaney is on hand to give expert advice and tips on any issues you may have.
Here's this week's topics:
Could you please ask Dr Delaney how I can prevent mouth ulcers. I seem to be in a constant cycle, one appears just as another has healed. Some are really large and painful to the point they make it difficult to eat. I take vitamins, have a relatively OK diet and don't feel run down otherwise. Is there anything else I can do? Cormac
Since lockdown began last March I know a lot of my family and friends have ended up drinking more than usual but it's something I've tried to avoid slipping in to. I'm trying to be more aware of the alcohol consumption in general and with Christmas coming up I'd like to keep an eye on it but still enjoy myself too. Realistically, how many drinks should I be limiting myself to in an evening/week? Gavin
For Dr Delaney, over the last number of months I've noticed a rash of tiny red bumps appearing on my chest that comes and goes randomly. I've never had this before and in general have very good skin. I can't think what is causing it but sometimes it gets itchy and drives me mad! Lucy in Ballinteer.
