Can a 10-year-old make a big decision?

This morning on Dublin Talks we heard from a listener who is concerned about his 10-year-old son.

He's separated from his son's mother for a number of years. Recently, his son has began asking when can he come live with Daddy.

Our listener doesn't know what to do as his son is unhappy at home. He'd love to have him move in right now if he could, however he's been told a child has to be with their mother until they're 15.

We hear what you think. Should children be allowed decide where they want to live if parents are separated? At what age are they capable of making that decision?

Yesterday's news of progress with a COVID-19 vaccine has given us all a bit of hope.

This morning on Dublin Talks we asked what thing you are most looking forward to once we have a vaccine.

Lots of people are excited to get away, whether on holidays, to see family or take delayed honeymoons.

However, some are looking forward to the simpler things, like giving their parents a hug.

Will we be spending Christmas in lockdown?

This morning on Dublin Talks we asked do you think we should stay in lockdown until the new year?

It comes after DCU Health Systems Professor Anthony Staines said he believes opening before Christmas could have devastating effects.

Speaking to Adrian this morning, Professor Staines said we will end up in another lockdown if we open things up in December.

Many listeners were upset by this and said they just want to be able to see their families.

However, some said they'd be happy to continue restrictions to get rid of the virus one and for all.

We also ran a poll to see how many of you are sticking to the 5km rule.

Do you illegally stream football matches?

With lots of football matches back on over the weekend we wanted to know where you're watching them.

Since clubs are no longer able to make money off match ticket sales, many have begun charging extra to watch games on pay for view.

Either that or they're increasing sports package costs across the board.

We asked you, do you pay extra to watch games now or do you source them illegally?

Most listeners admitted to streaming illegally, although this could be seen as stealing.

We also heard from you about how much you're spending on content each month across TV packages and streaming services.

Should married couples stay together for the kids?

According to a new study nearly half of married couples are only staying together because of the kids.

This number is surprising. However, do you think it's right?

Should parents stick out the hard times in order to protect the children? Or, do kids suffer more in an unhappy home?

Is it better for all involved if the parents go their separate ways?

We heard lots of people's personal stories, including a woman who resents her parents for staying together. We also spoke to a man who believes him and his wife separating after an affair was the best thing they ever did for their kids.

Does a lap dance count?

A listener got in touch with us here at Dublin Talks to ask for advice on a secret her husband told her.

In an email, she explained how her husband recently admitted to buying a lap dance. It happened when he was on a stag do years ago.

"Hi Adrian and Jeremy,

I do not wish to be named but would love to get your listeners opinion.

The other day my husband admitted to buying a lapdance while on a stag years ago.

I always had a inkling something happened on this stag from a joke that was made but when I asked him about it over the years he always denied it.

Is a lap dance a type of cheating/infidelity?

Is the lie worse than the lap dance?

I am a bit upset about this but at this point I don't know which I am more upset about, the lapdance or the lying.

Am I being silly and this is all just a bit of fun?"
