Tawny and Lisa talk about the 988 Lifeline, a new national service modeled after the 911 emergency hotline. 988 is focused on suicide and mental health crisis support. Not only can those in need call 988, but they can also text, an important feature for many who are more comfortable communicating with a counselor that way. The Lifeline also provides targeted support for LGBTQ+, Veterans, Blacks, Native Americans, mothers, and more at-risk populations. It meets people where they are.
Music Minute features Blondie, Logic, Lady Gaga, and Beyonce.
