It's about time that we dig back into some photobiomodulation research. This week we will take a deep dive into the impact of repeated low level red light therapy on childhood myopia. With an ever-increasing divergence of time that children spend viewing near-distance objects like phones, tablets, computers, TVs, etc. compared to time outside where the eyes have to focus on objects in the distance, this condition in particular is quickly on the rise and becoming an epidemic of its own. So if something as simple, safe and effective as red light therapy can help combat, mitigate and even reverse myopia, who wouldn't want to have this tool in their toolbox for their kid(s) and/or for themselves?!

Next we will visit an abstract that looks at primary mitochondrial diseases and how bioenergetics, oxidative stress and neuroinflammation all play a potential role. Sounds to me like The Mitochondrial Triad has a potentially large role to play here, as they can all positively impact those three variables and undoubtedly improve the function of the mitochondria.
