Olly Wood is a New Zealand lad who dives deep into transformation for career driven men over 35 (predominently). In this ep I pick his brain on all things gut health, transformation, supplements, human behaviour and creating change.
Another great health & fitness episode with a bunch of idea's and concepts we haven't yet covered in others.
Enjoy!

If there's one universal language around this spinning blue ball, it's laughter.
If there's one medicine that heals all wounds, it's laughter.
If there's one sound I would have made 15 years ago if you tried to tell me that one day I'd be shooting the breeze one on one with Australia's funniest lad, it's laughter.
What a pleasure to sit down with Dave Hughes and get to know the human beneath the humour.
Let's be honest, stepping on stage to tell a joke in front of a room full of strangers is sure to make the palms of the bravest man sweat! Hughesy shares his take on this thing we call life. His today and his yesterday, both on and off stage as we dive deep into all things self management and happiness.

Today I throw some fun philosophic questions at Bobby and let him run rampant on them.
What is the meaning of life?
What's your take on destiny, fate and free will?
Does pineapple belong on pizza? (Ok, I didn't ask that one because I don't eat pizza so I don't really care).
He's back by popular demand, the worlds leading mind around human behaviour change and self management. You asked, I delivered.
I hope you love this episode banter as much as I did!

'Battle for life. Life is hard.'
That is Michael Lyddiard's message to the world. And battle, he sure does.
This is an episode that, if I'm completely honest, hasn't left my mind since we switched off the mics. With my usual riffing style of podcasting I never know just where we will end up, so I never find myself thinking 'gee I didn't expect that'...
Except for this time.
So imagine going to work to one day have all your plans blow up in your face. Literally. Well, this is what happened to former Sergeant and bomb disposal expert, Michael Lyddiard in November 2007.
Michael was carefully uncovering an improvised explosive device (just another day at work for a bomb dude), when the device detonated and left him with one hell of a list of injuries. Injuries so substantial in fact, that upon arrival home (incidentally on Remembrance Day) the DVA told Michael and his family at the time that they had never experienced such severe injuries, and they simply didn't know what to do.
Michael lost his lower right arm, removed half of his left hand, his right eye, damaged the sight in his left eye, damaged his hearing and inflicted severe lacerations to the rest of his head.
The incident was horrific. The experience returning home and gaining support was as much a battle. And 13 years later, just like the rest of us, Michael continues to face the turbulence of life. Relationships, family, children, people and everything in between.
At times it's a tough listen, but if you pull out as much perspective as I did you're going to appreciate hearing this warriors journey.

From working with Mother Teresa to filmmaking in Afghanistan.
If you're a loyal RTWP listener then you're more than aware of my love for first responders and paramedics. And... you're more than aware of my tendency to address them publicly and privately as 'superheroes'.
Benjamin Gilmour is an Ambulance paramedic with 24 years frontline experience in Australia and internationally. He shines a new light on this 'superhero' label of mine.
He is also an author, a film-maker and an insightful human who I hunted down with my stealth-like stalking abilities, as I do.
Ben has produced anti war films in countries abroad, under circumstances that fascinate me. With his career insights and his desire to draw human empathy from the most unlikely of places, this chat is one that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Enjoy!

Todays guest is an icon of Australian music. With four decades in the music industry we know Marks music all too well, from Hunters and Collectors back in 1981-1998 before Mark carved a successful solo career for himself.
With a stack of ARIA awards and accolades under his belt, you sure don't need me to tell you that clearly he's more than capable when it comes to a little karaoke... and I managed to tease a bit of that out of him at the end of this awesome conversation, so be sure to listen in to the very end.
We chat about life. I learn about songwriting, creativity, vulnerability and all that human stuff I love to banter about.
It's fair to say I will cherish this episode for the rest of my life!
Thanks Mark.

Roll With The Punches is where we step into the ring and go toe to toe with the hard sh*t life throws our way.
Hosted by former boxing champ turned strength coach and speaker Tiff Cook, RWTP brings you big conversations with world-class guests about psychology, relationships, trauma, the brain, and the patterns that can make a bloody mess of our lives.
If you're curious about human behaviour, keen to challenge the stories you tell yourself, and want to understand why the hell you do what you do, you're in the right place. Tune in. Tiff's in your corner.
The goal? To question what you've always believed, understand yourself a little better, and turn those aha moments into actual change.
Because knowing better and doing better are two very different things.
And let's be honest... life's gonna keep throwing punches. We may as well learn how to roll with them.
