What if I told you that emotion gets trapped in the tissues of our bodies?
That motion and emotion are so tightly intertwined that you simply can not change one without changing the other?
Well... I'm not here to tell you that at all.
My guest is.
OD (Ian O'Dwyer) is one of the most forward-thinking and utterly brilliant minds that has rolled out of the fitness industry and we are extremely fortunate to house him right here, by our sides, in Australia. As a practitioner, an educator, a mentor and a founder of PTA Global you would likely be familiar with him from Industry Summits and Events such as Filex.
OD’s concepts, ideas and practices around human movement and the relationship between motion and e-motion are what can only be considered as being light years ahead of what we are taught by the majority in this industry today.
He is all about PLAY & FUN and mark my words, what you are about to hear today is going to change everything you know about the ideas we have tightly wrapped around fitness, human movement, bodies, sport, recovery and well... life.
I thrive on conversations like this and to say it brings me joy to introduce these concepts to whoevers ears this lands in is an understatement.
Thanks for listening... and ENJOY!

Old people know a lot of stuff. So, I got John Verbi in for a chat... by FAR the oldest fossil I know. (KIDDING!)
John Verbi is a very good friend of mine and someone who for a long time now has not only inspired me, but also generously shared much of his years of knowledge and education with me.
John works with large corporations in educating and implementing workplace wellness along with coaching individuals in optimising their health, longevity and performance. In this casual and fluid chat we hear about how things have changed and evolved in the industry over the years. The lessons John has learned around people, behaviour and implementing change.
Why scales are the devil and how he measures physical change in body composition (body fat & lean muscle metrics). Why people fail and how you can improve your chances at staying on track with your goals. A great episode for anyone with an interest in better performance, a longer life, a happier body, a sharper mind.
Enjoy.

In law enforcement terms 'Code 9' translates to officer in need of emergency assistance. The trouble is... so often our officers (and first responders) are so focused on the 'emergencies' as far as the duties of their jobs and careers, that they don't notice the critical ones taking place in their own inner world.
The Code 9 Foundation is the brainchild of Sergeant Mark Thomas. A not for profit organisation brought to life as a result of Mark finding himself eventually crawling from the rubble of his own inner Code 9.
The Code 9 Foundation emerged to provide support, education and assistance to first responders, as well as their loved ones, around PTSD (PTSI), depression and anxiety... symptoms so often swept under the rug. Symptoms that can be an inevitable result, on varying levels when our heroic breed of humans enter the careers that expose them to repeated stress and traumatic events.
In this episode Mark shares the vivid details of the very event that triggered his sharp decline and saw him hospitalised some years later. Mark offers a raw inside perspective into a world to which many of us don't so much as give a second thought.
It is people like Mark Thomas who, brick-by-brick, are paving the way to a better understanding and a better platform for all of our first responder and emergency service community.
I thank Mark for connecting and sharing his time with me. He is a speaker for Beyond Blue and a passionate ambassador for mental health and PTSD awareness. You can contact Mark via the below details.

Roll With The Punches is where we step into the ring and go toe to toe with the hard sh*t life throws our way.
Hosted by former boxing champ turned strength coach and speaker Tiff Cook, RWTP brings you big conversations with world-class guests about psychology, relationships, trauma, the brain, and the patterns that can make a bloody mess of our lives.
If you're curious about human behaviour, keen to challenge the stories you tell yourself, and want to understand why the hell you do what you do, you're in the right place. Tune in. Tiff's in your corner.
The goal? To question what you've always believed, understand yourself a little better, and turn those aha moments into actual change.
Because knowing better and doing better are two very different things.
And let's be honest... life's gonna keep throwing punches. We may as well learn how to roll with them.
