Master of Wine Bob Campbell talks to Francesca about his Best Buy of the week,Mount Riley 2018 The Bonnie Rosé, Marlborough $17.99.
I recently tasted it in my annual review of Rosé. It jumped out in a fairly strong class of wines. Rosé is a growing category and the wines seem to get better every year.
Before I talk about taste I should say that the wine is a very pretty pale pink. It gets my wife’s vote on colour. Marion insists that all good Rosé should be pale pink. I have a more liberal interpretation of colour.
The wine tastes of delicate “summer fruits” including cherry, watermelon and crushed strawberry. It’s got a silken texture and just a tiny hint of sweetness although it has a crisp, drying finish. Charming wine – perfect for summer drinking.
$17.99 is a pretty sharp price for a quality Rosé although when I shopped around I did fine two outlets offering it for just $12.99. It’s certainly a great buy at that price! The two stores selling it at $12.99 are First Glass Wines in Auckland and Vino Fino in Chirstchurch. I’m pretty sure that you can buy it frim both online although there will be a delivery cost involved.
I recommend drinking it by the end of 2019 while the wine is still fresh and fruity.
Food match: It’s a pretty food-friendly Rosé. I like it with lightly spicy Thai curries. It’s also great with smoked salmon – the colour match helps I’m sure. Of course you can enjoy it without the complication of food.

The new Windows 10 update is out.. what can we expect?
1) Android on your PC
You'll be able to connect your android wirelessly to your PC to basically bring your Android phone to your PC. You'll be able to use all your favorite Android Mobile apps on your PC, you'll be able to type with a proper keyboard and use a mouse (or the touch screen of your laptop) and send text messages.
2) Cloud Clipboard
You'll now have a copy and paste history which will sync. So if you copy and paste something, then something else, you'll be able to go back t othat thing you didn't mean to copy over. Plus - you'll now be able to sync your clipboard across your PC devices.. so if you have a desktop PC at work and a laptop PC at home then you'll be able to see everything eberywhere. Copying from your PC to your phone is coming soon.
3) A much better screenshot tool
You'll be able to write on it, highlight things, add arrows etc etc
4) You'll be able to increase the size of the system font across all your devices which is great if you need some extra help seeing things!
There are some new devices too.. 
+ Surface Pro 6 - with 13.5 hours of battery life, the Surface Laptop 2 -- both now come in a gorgeous black finish.
+ The Surface Studio 2 has seen an upgrade.
+ There are new Surface Headphones - which boast the same technology that the Apple HomePod has to allow for incredible noise-cancelation.
