  • Expectations for the Seahawks in the 2020 NFL Draft
The NFL Draft kicks off tonight at 5pm PT, although the Seahawks won't likely pick until after 8pm in the evening . . . or later . . . or maybe not even at all. Regardless, we're going to be tuning in to see what Seattle ultimately does in the draft this year. Brandan Schulze joined Anthony Nachreiner's show The Nach On Sports to talk about his expectations for the Seahawks this year. Although General Manager John Schneider has accumulated picks in the past and frequently drafted in the double digits, there may be reasons to believe they'll turn in fewer than 10 picks this year. What are the top four positions that the Seahawks will come away with in the draft this year? We talk about all of that and more!

  • Pete Carroll and John Schneider talk draft challenges, player evaluation and free agency
This offseason has provided some unique challenges for all of the teams throughout the NFL in how they've had to prepare for the draft. Pete Carroll and John Schneider took questions from local and national media on Tuesday discussing everything from free agency, the challenges they've had to face in getting setting up ahead of the draft, as well as the differences in the evaluation process for prospects.
Schneider says the door isn't closed with Clowney, but they need to do a better job in three different phases of the pass rush including player acquisition, development and scheme. One area he's been happy with is their ability to bring in guys they targeted on the offensive line and how that adds to their flexibility with player selection in the draft.

  • Targeting impact players in all seven rounds for the Seahawks
With Russell Wilson in his prime and the Seattle Seahawks working to add to a team expected to contend for a Super Bowl, this draft should be about adding impact players right away rather than prospects that you're looking to grow over 3-4 years. EJ Snyder, Senior Draft Analyst at Windy City Gridiron, walks though each round of the draft as we look at players who could fit that description for the Seahawks. Rob Staton of Seahawks Draft Blog posted his draft tiers this week and so we use that as a starting spot for the type of players who have a shot to provide an immediate impact in some way. The strength of the draft at wide receiver is particularly evident, and helps make the case for going offensive and defensive line early on for Seattle. It's a huge show that will help prepare you to root for a variety of future Seahawks.

  • SEC prospects for the Seahawks to consider on all three days of the NFL Draft
After talking solely about Alabama draft prospects on Friday's show last week, Brent Taylor of Roll Bama Roll returns to the show to talk SEC prospects. When you see your college team struggle year after year against future NFL talent, you start to identify guys you want on your professional team. On the defensive side of the ball, the discussion is mostly on the defensive line. Could Javon Kinlaw fall in the draft? It's not likely, but the Seahawks would be able to trade up into the early 20s if they see a player fall who they'd like to move up to get. In the second half of the show we talk about SEC wide receivers and some potential weapons for Russell Wilson. We also talk about one first round offensive lineman who could be on the board. Finally, three mid-to-late round running back prospects who the Seahawks could have their eye on come Saturday.

  • NFL Draft preview: Alabama insider talks draft fits for the Seahawks
With less than a week to go until the 2020 NFL Draft, there is one college team that has been dominating the first round of the draft rankings. Six players from the Alabama Crimson Tide are consistently anticipated to go in the first round and four expected to go in the top half of the first round. Brent Taylor, editor of Roll Bama Roll, joins the show to talk about the rest of the Alabama draft class and the prospects the Seahawks may be interested in. We discuss Terrell Lewis, Anfernee Jennings and Raekwon Davis as possible players on the defensive line. We also look at defensive backs Xavier McKinney, Trevon Tiggs and Jared Mayden. Finally, we discuss one offensive lineman, not Jedrick Wills, who could make sense for the Seahawks.

  • A Seahawks 7-round Mock Draft: Trading out of the 1st and securing Mr. Irrelevant
Sad news this week as Seahawks fans learned that former quarterback Tarvaris Jackson passed away in a car crash earlier this week. Nathan Santo joins the show to talk about some T-Jack memories as he was the QB to transition Pete Carroll's Seahawks team into the Russell Wilson era. Mike Iupati and Neiko Thorpe have re-signed with the team. Iupati gives Seattle the chance to keep continuity on the offensive line from last season.
Before getting into our picks we talk about some of the top needs for Seattle and how Pete Carroll and John Schneider may approach this draft. We start the mock draft by trading out of the first pick with the New York Giants, which allows Seattle to add another top 100 pick as well as Mr. Irrelevant. Ultimately, our mock draft comes away with the Seahawks selecting two interior defensive linemen, an edge rusher, an offensive tackle, two wide receivers, a tight end and a running back.

  • Seahawks draft prospects on the offensive tackle and at tight end
Alistair Corp is back on the podcast as we continue to look at potential prospects for the Seahawks. From a potential starter on Day 1 to a developmental prospect with NFL bloodlines that traces back to Seattle, we talk about different players and ideal traits for a Seahawks lineman. Could the Seahawks make a shift toward players who were better at pass blocking in college?
The Seahawks already have four tight ends on the roster who are starting caliber who had significant starting experience with the team last season. Alistair points out that it's a weak tight end class, but there are still players who could make sense for the Seahawks particularly on the second and third days. There's one player in particular on Day 3 who could help Pete Carroll consolidate the fullback position.

  • Late-round Seahawks CB prospects, Texans continue to offer favors to NFC West
NFL teams are going to be facing some logistical challenges coming up as they'll be all attempting to communicate from multiple locations before teams relay their selections to the commissioner. The NFL has also announced 58 players who will take part in the draft virtually, but there are no further details beyond a list of names. Alistair Corp of Field Gulls joins the show to discuss a trade impacting the NFC West as Bill O'Brien is now paying more for David Johnson and Brandin Cooks than he would have paid to give DeAndre Hopkins a raise.
In the second half of the episode Alistair talks about three cornerbacks who will likely be available late in the draft that fit what the Seahawks need and have the kind of upside that would be worth taking a chance on into Day 3 of the draft. We also talk about a potential safety to cornerback convert considering Tre Flowers is who they picked in a draft year that was limited on the number of players who met their ideal physical traits.

  • Samuel Gold of the Athletic talks Quinton Dunbar and Seahawks draft targets
One of the things we've talked about this offseason is the number that Seahawks fans would be ok with keeping Germain Ifedi on the Seattle roster. For the price the Chicago Bears were able to get him under contract for, there is no reason the Seahawks couldn't have afforded to keep him around. Either Ifedi wanted to leave or the feeling was mutual. Samuel Gold of the Athletic joins the show to grade the move by the Bears as well as his reaction to the Cleveland Browns interest in Jadeveon Clowney. Sam has an article on the Athletic coming out this week where he'll be evaluating 2020 NFL Draft prospects for the Seahawks. We discuss prospects on the offensive line, defensive line and what it would take for them to break the trend of waiting until the third round or later for a cornerback.

  • 3 IN, 3 OUT: How the Seahawks won the offseason with one decision
When the Seahawks win the offseason, Clinton Bonner starts the show with an 'in.' Of all the decisions the Seahawks have made, there's one move that stands above the rest that has produced a winning free agency season. And because 3 In, 3 Out is about getting into the 'nooks and crannies' of Seahawks football, this show will not be talking about Jadeveon Clowney or the Seahawks need to go after more pass rushers. With that being the primary focus of the off-season, we leave that to other shows. Instead we look toward the offensive line, moves at wide receiver, and how the defense's ability to stop the run has been impacted by the moves so far.
