This week has been a tough one for Em and Al since hearing that their friend, Dame Deborah James, is now receiving end-of-life care for her battle with cancer. Em pops in to say a few words about Deb, and we encourage you to donate the cost of a drink (the girls reckon a rosé, as you will hear!) to the Bowelbabe Fund to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The girls have the honour of being graced by feminist royalty, Laura Bates. Laura is the author of now six books including her latest, Fix The System Not The Women. Although troubling and shocking, Laura's message is filled with hope and optimism for future generations to work and fight towards equality.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK. This week Alex and Em are joined by the incredible Safiyya Vorajee, who lost her baby daughter, Azaylia, to childhood cancer just one year ago. Driven by the love for her daughter, she and Azaylia's father started a foundation in her honour, The Azaylia Foundation. Safiyya bravely takes on life with optimism and determination, and we want to shine a light on her story. In the usual segments of the pod, Al tries her hand at amateur gymnastics and Em wants to start a gang...

Heads up, this episode contains a lot of heavy themes including sexual assault. Listener discretion is advised, so take care, and if you decide to sit this one out, we will see you next week!
The girls have an emotional and inspiring conversation with Natalie Lee (@stylemesunday) about her journey from sexual shame to sexual freedom. They discuss when to start talking to kids about sex, owning and demanding pleasure, and how masturbation can increase your self esteem and communication skills… as well as much, much more! Alex and Em also fill us in on their holiday mishaps, including sweaty feet, solo dates and dissolving sick bags.

In this episode, Em and Alex talk to Nelly London about her life as an influencer and her methods for dealing with incessant trolling. Nelly also describes how being objectified and sexualised as a young person affected her relationship to her body, and influenced her anxiety. Together, they talk about Bryony’s journey with Pure O and addiction, breaking mental health stigmas paving the way for future generations to talk more openly about these issues. This week, Alex and Em interviewed Candice Brathwaite for their first ever live episode! The recording took place on International Women's Day at George's FENOMENAL festival, a day dedicated to celebrating and redefining femininity. Candice talks about childbirth and how, as a black woman, her concerns were dismissed and she was almost fatally mistreated, an all too common experience that is explored further in her first book I Am Not Your Baby Mother (link below). The girls also explore And Just Like That, the pitfalls of comparison and, of course, Candice's incredible style...
