Und nun zur aktuellen Folge mit Wolfram Uerlich und damit einem der 105 Expert:innen, die ich für mein 2. Buch interviewen durfte. 



Das Problem:



Trotz Klimakrise ist die Dominanz des Autos ungebrochen. Sie macht mehr als 80 % des motorisierten Individualverkehrs aus. Im Schnitt ist ein Auto mit nur 1,4 Personen besetzt, im Pendelverkehr sogar mit nur 1,08. Diese „Leerfahrten“ führen, vor allem im täglichen Pendelverkehr, zu großen Mengen an CO2e-Ausstoß. Die Konsequenz ist nicht nur eine große Umweltbelastung, sondern zeigt auch, dass der Verkehr nicht sinnvoll organisiert ist. Städte sind überlastet, ländliche Regionen noch immer zu schlecht angebunden.



Die Lösung von goFLUX:



go-flux sieht das große Potenzial in diesen „Leerfahrten“. Deshalb wurde eine innovative Lösung entwickelt, die den Besetzungsgrad von Autos erhöht und den Verkehr effizienter fließen lässt. Je mehr Menschen gemeinsam fahren, desto weniger Stau und Emissionsbelastung. Das Konzept von Mitfahrgelegenheiten auf Langstrecken funktioniert seit Jahren, jedoch gab es bisher kein Pendant für kürzere Strecken oder Pendel-Fahrten. So entstand goFLUX: Eine Mitfahr-App für jeden Tag, die die individuellen Mobilitätsbedürfnisse berücksichtigt und Fahrgemeinschaften mit dem ÖPNV verbindet.



Ich zitiere mal einen Part aus meinem aktuellen Buch, in dem großartige Ideen wie die von go-flux großen Raum erhielten, damit diese endlich bekannter werden. Denn: Alle Lösungen für die Mobilitätswende, die JETZT beginnen kann, sind schon da!



Wolfram Uerlich:



»Die Verkehrsunternehmen erhalten durch unser Angebot eine Netz- und Angebotserweiterung. Dadurch wird ihr Angebot attraktiver. In Deutschland haben wir Personenkilometer-Kosten im ÖPNV von 35 Cent im Schnitt. Ein Carpooling-Angebot wie unseres erzielt schon bei ein paar tausend Kilometern pro Jahr Personenkilometer-Kosten von 20 Cent. Ein Drittel weniger. Deswegen ist unser idealer Ansatz, zusammen mit Verkehrsunternehmen Fahrgemeinschaften für Pendler als Ergänzung in den Mobilitätsmix zu bringen. Wir gehen gemeinsam auf die großen Arbeitgeber zu. Lassen es an den Hauptarbeitgeberstandorten wachsen, als Nukleus, bis es in der ganzen Stadt verbreitet ist. Bei einem Unternehmen reichen uns 100 Mitarbeiter, damit mehr als 90 Prozent der Fahrtwünsche einen Vorschlag erhalten. Mit dem Deutschlandticket kannst du in den Kommunen, wo wir ein Verkehrsunternehmen als Partner haben, kostenlos Fahrgemeinschaften nutzen. Genauso wie in Frankreich. Und damit vereinen wir die Welten Pkw und ÖPNV zu einer.

Ich glaube grundsätzlich an die enorme Beschleunigung durch Technologie. Und ich hoffe, dass die Technologie dazu beitragen wird, dass wir sehr effizient reisen werden, sehr nachhaltig, sehr günstig, sehr komfortabel und auch sehr sicher. Die Gefahr ist aus meiner Sicht, wenn es Richtung autonome Fahrzeuge gehen sollte, egal, wann, dass wir, wenn die zehn Jahre erfolgreich im Markt sind, sagen: ›Ach war das schön, als wir einen Besetzungsgrad von 1,1 hatten.‹ Jetzt haben wir nur noch 0,5, weil die fahren die ganze Zeit ohne Passagiere. Und dann ist die Straße voller, und du hast am Ende das gleiche Problem. Ich glaube, es ist extrem wichtig, dass es staatlich in die richtige Richtung gelenkt wird.“

Alexandra Baum hat lange als Produktentwicklerin und -designerin selbstständig gearbeitet. Schon damals mit dem Schwerpunkt auf Design und Entwicklung technischer Textilkomponenten. Das, was sie ärgerte, hat sie den mit einer eigenen Firma und Idee in den Fokus genommen: Fahrradschlösser, die „klappern, den Lack zerkratzen und hässlich sind“ – so würde ich es mal zusammenfassen. Mit ihrem Unternehmen Texlock produziert sie jetzt aus Leipzig heraus drei verschiedene Modelle von Textilschlössern. Die Innovation liegt im Textilseil, das aus einer speziellen Kombination aus Hightech-Fasern und einem Kern aus gehärtetem Metall besteht. Diese Komponenten machen das Schloss zugleich flexibel und robust, sägefest, schnittfest, feuerfest und zudem lackschonend. Die Textilschlösser sind leichter als vergleichbar sichere Fahrradschlösser anderer Hersteller und in vier verschiedenen Längen erhältlich. Je nach Fahrrad und Abstellsituation. In einer ehemaligen Pianofabrik im Leipziger Westen erfolgt die finale Fertigung der tex–locks mit dem Gütesiegel „Made in Germany“. Entlang der Produktionslinie achtet das Unternehmen auf kurze Transportwege und bevorzugt daher Lieferanten aus der Region. Dank der Materialqualität und Verarbeitung liegt der Materialausschuss von Texlock zudem bei fast null.



Wie erfolgreich Langfinger dabei sind, zeigt die Statistik über Fahrraddiebstähle in Deutschland in 2022: Vongesamt 115.354 erfassten Fällen wurden nur 8.313 Fälle aufgeklärt. Das sind gerade mal 7%. Einziger Schutz sind hier gute Abstellmöglichkeiten, an denen es noch häufig fehlt, und gute Sicherheitsschlösser. In den Niederlanden ist ein ART-zertifiziertes Schloss deshalb sogar ein Pflichtbestandteil für Zweirad-Versicherungen. Diese Zertifizierung haben die Schlösser von Texlock erhalten. Die meisten geprüften Fahrradschlösser dieser Kategorie wiegen über zwei Kilogramm. Das tex–lock orbit nur 1,2 Kilogramm.



Alexandras Ansatz ist aber auch, dass Produkte Spaß machen sollen und auch etwas wie ein Fahrradschloss nicht nur funktional, sondern eben auch stylish sein sollte. Der Lifestyle rund um das Fahrrad zieht nachweislich ja immer mehr Menschen an, bekommt eine größere Rolle in der Mobilitätswende. Das Fahrrad an sich ist ein emotionales Produkt, da sollte auch das Schloss diesem Lifestyle entsprechen. Zudem legen immer mehr Konsument:innen Wert auf regionale Produktion, auch diese ist Alexandra bei tex-lock wichtig. Begonnen hat alles mit einem Crowdfunding, das so gut lief, dass Tausende des ersten Schlosses produziert werden durften. Nicht ganz unkompliziert, wollte Texlock doch von Beginn an ein echter Gegenentwurf zu bestehenden Konzepten aus Stahl sein, also höchste Qualität und damit Langlebigkeit garantieren, nah am Kunden sein und die Bedürfnisse verstehen, ganz nach dem Motto: „Who would have thought a bike lock could ever be sexy?“



Ich spreche mit Alexandra aber auch über die Belastung und zugleich Freiheit, die der Job als Gründerin mit sich bringt. Alexandra gibt zu, dass das, was sie macht, nicht ohne gewisse Opfer geht, die der Spagat zwischen Unternehmen und Familie mit sich bringt, gefühlt wird dies sogar immer schwerer gemacht. Als Kind der DDR ist sie da mit einem ganz anderen Bild der arbeitenden Mutter und ausreichend Krippenplätzen groß geworden. Heutigen Politiker:innen würde sie gern mal zurufen: „Wo bleibt eigentlich der >rote Teppich< für Unternehmerinnen, die Arbeitsplätze schaffen, Steuern einbringen UND SOGAR NOCH Kinder haben?“ Stattdessen ist viel Organisation und Jonglage gefragt. Umso wichtiger ist es ihr als „Chefin“, dies so weit es geht im eigenen Betrieb zu ermöglichen. 

Alexandra Baum: Was haben schöne Textilschlösser aus Leipzig mit der Mobilitätswende zu tun?

It´s the final countdown! In zehn Tagen kommt mein Buch! Daher gnadenlose Promo an dieser Stelle: Ich bitte euch sehr, „Raus aus der AUTOkratie – rein in die Mobilität von morgen!“ vorzubestellen. Nur jedes 5. Sachbuch wird von einer Frau geschrieben. Frauen werden zudem sehr viel weniger rezensiert als Männer. Studie dazu hier. Daher brauche ich viele Vorbestellungen, um es auf die für den weiteren Buchverkauf und die mediale Aufmerksamkeit so wichtige Bestsellerliste zu schaffen. 3. Ganz persönlich gesprochen, ist dieses Buch im hoffentlich persönlich auf lange Sicht schwersten Jahr entstanden. Ich bin schwer darin, auf mich selbst stolz zu sein, hier bin ich es. Weil ich weiß, wieviele Menschen und Ereignisse verhindern wollten, dass das Buch erscheint.

Am 3. Juni um 20 Uhr sehen wir uns im Frannz Club Berlin! Mit meiner Gästin! Louisa Schneider wird die Veranstaltung, auf die ich mich natürlich schon sehr freue, moderieren.



Louisa hat in den letzten zwei Jahren Menschen auf der ganzen Welt besucht, die von der Klimakrise betroffen sind und die Hoffnung nicht aufgeben. Sie berichtet von den konkreten Situationen an den Orten, die wir als „Klimakippunkte“ so schön depersonalisieren und damit von uns schieben. Sie spricht vom Senegal und Brasilien, von Menschen, die in Zelten leben müssen, ohne echte Wasserversorgung, weil ihr Lebensraum zerstört wurde. Sie schildert, wie es war, in brennenden Wäldern zu stehen, anerkennend, selbst Teil des Problems zu sein. Sie erzählt aber auch davon, wie sehr die Einheimischen an ihrer Liebe festhalten, sogar sie, die sie als weiße Frau aus dem Globalen Norden ganz klar von dort stammt, wo durch massiv fossilen Lebenswandel ihre Lebensqualität geraubt wird.



Wir unterhalten uns darüber, warum wir Bücher schreiben, warum es oft Zeit ist, die Menschen im Globalen Norden fehlt, um das Ausmaß der Katastrophe zu erkennen, während den Menschen im Globalen Süden die Zeit davonläuft, die ihnen gute Lebensumstände bewahrbar halten könnte. Wir sprechen darüber, dass es eben nicht um Dekarbonisation allein geht, sondern um eine von außen auf uns eindringende Chance zur echten Gerechtigkeit zu finden. Das eint uns beide sehr, da wir auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen mit Menschen im Kontakt sind, denen große Ungerechtigkeit widerfährt. Jeden Tag. In der Reflektion unserer Privilegien sehen wir aber eine wundervollen Verantwortung, genau für diese Menschen Reichweite zu schaffen, ihren Bedürfnissen Raum zu geben in der öffentlichen Debatte.

Louisa Schneider: Warum ist auch dir Gerechtigkeit wichtiger als CO2?

Meinen heutigen Gast habe ich schon ein paar Mal gespoilert, nicht nur, weil ich ihn für mein zweites Buch, das am 29. Mai erscheint, interviewt habe. Sondern auch, weil er meiner Wahrnehmung einer der wenigen ist, der ganz pragmatisch auf die Bestandsflotte Deutschland schaut und zahlenbasiert analysiert hat, wieviel Autos wir für Deutschland benötigen, um die gleiche Mobilität zu gewährleisten. Denn aktuell sind Fahrzeuge eher Stehzeuge und bewegen sich nur 45 Minuten am Tag.



Das Spannende an Jacob: Er hat sich vor der Recherche zu dem Buch, an dem er da aktuell schreibt, zuvor nie für Verkehrspolitik interessiert. Das änderte sich durch Jacobs Wahrnehmung, dass wir  als Gesellschaft uns so verhalten, als ob wir auf einen möglichst hohen Berg steigen, runterspringen und dabei hoffen, dass uns Flügel wachsen, während wir fallen. Verkehrspolitisch machen wir seiner Perspektive nach immer genau das Gegenteil von dem, was wir sagen und hoffen, dass es trotzdem gut geht. Was nicht funktionieren kann und wird. Als er vor einem Jahr hörte, dass die Zulassungszahlen schon wieder gestiegen sind, die Staus wachsen und wir den unterzeichneten Zielen der Pariser Klimaverträge nicht näher kommen, war das der erste Anlass, aktiv zu werden. Der zweite, für ihn weitaus schlimmere war jedoch, dass er in Mainz, wo er lebt, ein kleines Kind bei grüner Ampel von einem Suv überfahren worden und getötet worden ist. 30 Meter von seiner Haustür entfernt. Zweimal täglich kommt er seitdem an dieser Stelle vorbei, was ihn emotionalisierte und auch wütend gemacht hat über den Status Quo.



Wie ging Jacob vor, um zu eruieren, wie groß die deutsche Autoflotte sein muss, um Mobilität aller zu gewährleisten. Natürlich gab es die klassischen Statistiken wie Mobilität in Deutschland oder die Berichte vom Statistischen Bundesamt, aber auch Klimaberichte zu den Zielen der Klimagesetze. Sowohl bei der Zielzeit als auch bei der Größe des Bestandes ist Jacob recht entspannt, er denkt sogar mittlerweile, dass es weniger als zehn Millionen Autos braucht. Wichtig für ihn ist nach seiner Fleißarbeit:



50 Millionen Autos sind eine Eskalation in Ressourcen und Folgeschäden, die in keinerlei Bezug zu der im Vergleich eher geringen Mobilität, die dieser absurd hohe Bestand gewährleisten muss. Jacob denkt, dass die Umsetzung der Veränderung definitiv möglich ist. Das haben seine Recherchen gezeigt. Die Frage sei vielmehr: Wollen wir es politisch und gesellschaftlich?



Zudem: Wenn wir uns Eisen, Kupfer, Lithium, viele weitere Rohstoffe anschauen, die es braucht, um ein Auto zu bauen: All das importieren wir. Und auch gerade DAMIT wir überhaupt die Antriebswelle schaffen können, vor allem, was den Gesamtenergieverbrauch von Elektroautos angeht, der deutlich, deutlich besser ist als der von Verbrennern, dann – so hat Jacob es nachgerechnet – kommen wir bei Lkw und Pkw auf konservativ gerechnet 172 Terawattstunden. Die aktuell erneuerbar erzeugte Energieleistung liegt bei 190 Terrawattstunden. Das spricht für sich – denke ich.



Zudem: Wir brauchen die erneuerbaren Energien zum Heizen, für unsere Industrie, die laut Jacob auch immer stärker erkennt, wie wichtig die Mobilitätswende ist, damit Autobesitzer:innen ihnen nicht als Energiekonkurrent:innen begegnen. Jacob betont: „Die Elektromobilität ist viel, viel effizienter als ein Verbrenner, aber im Vergleich zur Schiene ist sie unfassbar uneffizient. Stahl auf Stahl hat eine sehr geringe Reibung, gegenüber einem Zug braucht die automobile Elektromobilität das Drei- bis Vierfache an Energie. Auch das muss im Rahmen globaler Gerechtigkeit betrachtet werden.“ Auch, weil diese im Vergleich zu Ländern wie Deutschland einen unfassbar geringen Autobesitz haben. Wenn also die Zahl der Autos nicht weiter wachsen soll, dann ist die Konsequenz, dass Länder, die sehr, sehr viele Autos haben davon ein paar abgeben müssen.



Jacob fragte sich: Wie sieht ein alternatives Verkehrssystem aus? Wie kriegt man das finanziert? „Da war ich überrascht, wie einfach und verfügbar die Antworten jetzt doch teilweise schon sind. Das hätte ich mir schwieriger vorgestellt. Und dieses Wissen ist in Teilen auch sehr bedrückend, weil ich sehe, wie stark sich die Dinge in die falsche Richtung entwickeln und wie stark die Widerstände sind gegen die Verkehrswende.“



Jacob weist nach: Ein autozentriertes System ist das teuerste und ungerechteste Verkehrssystem, was wir haben könnten, das unsere Gesellschaft krank macht. „Wir machen es, weil eine sehr kleine Minderheit davon profitiert. Eine Botschaft, die ich hoffentlich dann rüberbringen im Buch: Das geht auch anders. Alle Fragen sind beantwortet, wir müssen uns nur trauen.“



Und er räumt mit einigen Mythen auf: „Tatsächlich ist der größte Arbeitgeber in Deutschland das Gesundheitssystem. Und wenn wir auf die verarbeitende Industrie gucken, dann ist der größte Arbeitgeber nicht die Automobilindustrie, sondern der Maschinenbau. Die Automobilindustrie hat nach Angaben des VDA 779.700 Arbeitsplätze in Deutschland, was eine relevante Zahl ist. Wir haben gerade Fachkräftemangel und all diese gut qualifizierten Menschen, die in der Automobilindustrie arbeiten, brauchen wir dringend für die Umsetzung der sozialökologischen Transformation. Leute, die Autos montieren können, auch Solaranlagen voranbringen. Wenn die Zahl der Arbeitskräfte in der Automobilindustrie moderat zurückgehen würde, wäre das für die deutsche Volkswirtschaft gut, weil wir diese in anderen Bereichen nötiger brauchen.“



Was brauchen wir nun, um die Fahrzeugzahl deutlich zu reduzieren?



Vor allem den Aufbau von Bus- und Bahnangeboten, bessere Fahrradwege, mehr Möglichkeiten, zu Fuß zu gehen. Der Modal split vom Auto liegt momentan bei über 80%, die wir in Zukunft nicht mehr mit Privatauto, sondern überwiegend mit geteilten Autos fahren. „Die erste Maßnahme, die ich ergreifen würde, wenn es speziell um die Reduzierung der Automobilzahlen geht, wäre ein repräsentatives Kostenbeispiel beim Automobilkauf einzuführen, hört sich jetzt komisch an und technokratisch, macht aber total Sinn weil Studien beweisen, dass Autofahrer komplett unterschätzen, was sie ihr Auto im Monat kostet. Die meisten haben z. B. den Wertverlust nicht im Blick.



Das zweite, was ich machen würde, wäre ein SUV-Verbot in Innenstädten oder eine massive Besteuerung von Suvs. Die Existenzberechnung von SUV kommt angeblich daher, dass Leute eine bessere Übersicht haben wollen. Aber die Übersicht von ihnen ist das Blickhindernis von anderen und so gut ist diese Übersicht gar nicht, auch weil ich einen massiven, toten Winkel nach vorne habe, der gerade für Kinder ein massives Problem ist. Der Grund, warum Suvs gekauft werden, ist einfach Status und Protzen. Wenn ich also ein Produkt habe, von dem ich weiß, dass es für uns als Gesellschaft wirklich tödlich ist, dann muss ich es regulieren. Die USA machen es vor: Während lange Zeit die Verkehrstoten gesunken sind, steigen sie jetzt aufgrund der riesigen Pkw wieder an, weil SUV massiv gefährlich für Fußgänger, Radfahrer und Fahrer von kleineren Autos sind. Da muss Politik so ein Produkt knallhart aus dem Markt rausregulieren.“



Sein Fazit ist jedoch „bittersüß“. Verkehrswende ist ein politisch sehr schwieriges Unterfangen. Es ist aber nicht unmöglich. Es gibt Städte wie Paris, die zeigen, dass es geht. Wenn Räume UND Menschen vom Autoverkehr befreit sind, dann erleben Menschen die überwältigenden Vorteile nach der Veränderung. Wir verlieren wenig Verkehrsfläche und wir gewinnen viel Lebensqualität. Auch in Paris gab es vor der Umsetzung großen Widerstand. Jetzt übertreffen die Zahlen der mit dem Rad Pendelnden die der im Auto. „Politik muss das Richtige gegen Widerstände tun, zuhören, Ängste ernst nehmen, aber keine Zweifel an ihrer Entschlossenheit im Gesamten lassen. Ein Austin-Martin-Fahrer, der vom Dienstwagenprivileg profitiert, spart teilweise 2.500€ pro Monat. Während Kinder, Menschen in sozialschwachen Gebieten, wo es viel Luftverschmutzung gibt, Alte und Jugendliche, die ohne Auto nicht mobil sind, oder auf dem Dorf, wo es keine Nachversorgung gibt, nur Nachteile haben. Diese Interessensgegensätze bekomme ich nur dann weg, indem ich Strukturen ändere und darüber dann auch Menschen. Und das ist es, was mir Hoffnung macht. Wenn Politik wollte, dann könnte sie positive Zukunftsvisionen der Mobilität verbreiten. Darüber sprechen, wie viel Geld wir sparen würden. Aktuell steckt unsere Gesellschaft über 500 Milliarden Euro pro Jahr ins Auto. Wenn wir konsequent ein anderes Verkehrssystem nutzen würden, wo das Auto nur noch die Krone, weil es sehr teuer ist. Es sei denn, es sind Anwendungsfälle, wo das Auto Vorteile hat, also eher Nischen. Dort, wo Zug, Bus, Rad Vorteile haben, stehen diese im Fokus. Damit würden wir 300 Milliarden Euro pro Jahr sparen, das sind 1.500 Euro pro Person, eine vierköpfige Familie hätte 6.000 Euro für den Umstieg. Politik konnte darüber reden, dass weniger Autos das Wohnraumproblem in Städten lösen können, weil Raum frei wird. Politik könnte über die Chancen von alternativen Wirtschaftszweigen reden, über das Beschäftigungspotenzial, gerade wenn Deutschland Pionier und wieder Exportweltmeister werden würde in nachhaltiger Mobilität. Da muss sich die Politik entscheiden: Will sie mutig sein und Chancen nutzen oder Ängste schüren und dann scheitern. Das ist die Entscheidung, die wir als Gesellschaft, und Politik treffen müssen.“

Und damit zur Folge. 



Bei mir zu Gast: Isabell Eberlein von velokonzept und Hanna Bauer von Schindelhauer Bikes. Natürlich konnten wir nicht über Lastenräder sprechen, ohne auf die erhitzte Debatte rund um die Sicherheit von Kindern in Lastenrädern zu blicken. Erfreulicherweise sind mittlerweile wieder ein Drittel aller Kinder mit dem Rad unterwegs. Davon einige auch im Lastenrad. Und auch wenn die Gesamtzahl der verkauften Lastenräder anteilig am Fahrradmarkt gemessen eher nischig ist (2023 wurden 235.250 Lastenräder neu gekauft), entspricht die Empörung, die manche gegenüber dieser Radform zu empfinden in der Lage sind fast dem Hass auf Sharing-E-Scooter. Beiden gemein: Sie lenken mit der Wut, die ihnen entgegenschlägt, unfreiwillig vom eigentlichen Problem ab: 49, 1 Millionen Pkw in Deutschland – und damit der mit Abstand größten CO2-Quelle im Verkehrssektor.



Der aktuellen Empörung vorausgegangen war ein Skandal rund um die zuvor aufgrund ihrer vergleichsweise niedrigen Preise beliebten Lastenrad-Marke Babboe aus den Niederlanden. Hier wurden durch die niederländische Behörde NVWA massive Sicherheitsmängel festgestellt, nachdem zuletzt vermehrt Rahmenbrüche aufgetreten waren. Und noch mehr: Die Behörde wirft dem Hersteller or, die Mängel nicht gemeldet zu haben. Auch sei die Ursache der Defekte nicht ausreichend untersucht und es seien keine Maßnahmen ergriffen worden. Daher prüfen nun  Staatsanwaltschaft und Behörd, ob Babboe fahrlässig gehandelt hat. Hier ist Isabell ganz klar: Fahrräder müssen wie alles andere, was auf der Straße bewegt wird, sicher für Nutzer:innen und Umgebung sein. Dennoch ist sie im Gespräch mit mir auch anderweitig ganz klar: Der aktuelle „Skandal“, der eine Untersuchung der Unfallversicherer nutzt, um Lastenräder als gefährlich für Kinder darzustellen, ist ebenso unzulässig. Zumal die UDV selbst in der Studie hervorhebt: Nach den für 2022 verfügbaren Zahlen ereigneten sich in Deutschland 222 Unfälle, zwölf Kinder wurden dabei schwer verletzt. Unfallgegner bei Radunfällen mit mitfahrenden Kindern ist laut UDV meist ein Auto. Zum Vergleich: Wie das Statistische Bundesamt (Destatis) mitteilt, kamen 2022 25 800 Kinder unter 15 Jahren bei Unfällen im Straßenverkehr zu Schaden, Im Schnitt wurde 2022 alle 20 Minuten ein Kind bei einem Verkehrsunfall verletzt oder getötet. 51 Kinder überlebten die Kollisionen nicht. 
DESTATIS weiter: Unter 6-Jährige sind oft im Auto mit betreuenden Erwachsenen unterwegs, dem zufolge verunglücken sie hier am häufigsten (58 % im Jahr 2022). Schulkinder sind mit zunehmendem Alter selbstständig im Straßenverkehr unterwegs – entsprechend steigt der Anteil der Radfahrenden und Fußgängerinnen und -gänger unter den Verunglückten. 6- bis 14-Jährige verunglückten am häufigsten auf ihrem eigenen Fahrrad (42 %), 28 % in einem Auto sowie 21 % zu Fuß.



Hanna Brauer hat sich einer anderen Facette des Lastenrads gewidmet. 
Die Nachhaltigkeits-Managerin untersuchte in ihrer 237-seitigen Bachelor-Arbeit, inwieweit aktuelle Lastenräder den Anforderungen von verschiedenen Nutzer:innengruppen entsprechen. 
Größtes Problem: Meist wird so ein Rad im Laden gekauft, ohne dass Gepäck, Kind, Abdeckung.. im Praxistest im und am Rad untergebracht werden. Daher wünschen sich auch viele nach ihrem ersten Lastenradkauf: „Ich hätte mir das Rad gern mal eine Woche ausgeliehen, um alles daran zu testen!“ Hanna hat hier die Herangehensweise der Nutzer:innenbeobachtung angewandt und immer wieder nach dem Warum? gefragt. So entstand ein Anforderungskatalog für Lastenrad-Design mit zehn 10 Schwerpunkten, die von Hanna jeweils mit praktischen Beispielen aus der Beobachtung hinterlegt worden sind.

021 How To Have A Brilliant Morning

If you ever get to the end of a long day and feel frazzled, tired and with a slight headache, you are not alone. Most of us spend huge proportions of our day online for work, whether that is hunched over a keyboard or tap tap tapping things into our phones and tablets. When we get home we switch the TV on and in a zombie-like state wonder why we never quite feel like we are relaxing. We've got a suggestion for that. And it involves unplugging from the matrix and being (shock horror!) offline.
