A little more about Julia: She is building her family – her way! After an unexpected breakup with the partner she thought she would start a family with, Julia took her future into her own hands. She began exploring her options for motherhood and ultimately made the decision to embark on a fertility journey to become a solo parent while recording the first season of her podcast, Stork’d.

Stork’d is not only a sounding board for diverse voices, but has unfolded as Julia’s audio diary – documenting her journey from decision to treatment, pregnancy to birth, and now follows her journey as a solo mom to her son. 

Julia continues to open up honest, funny, raw, and especially healing conversations looking at what creating a family really means and how it might show up differently than expected. She seeks to explore all the aspects and beautifully unique definitions of family with her community, firmly believing that you get to define your family in whatever way you want. Empowering parents of all different walks or those seeking, Julia says, "there will always be hardships in life, but you have the power to choose your hard, so do so with conviction."
