  • The journey to anything you desire

    https://www.victoriakleinsman.com/connection/the-journey-to-anything-you-desire/

I’m talking self-love baby! And when I first started my journey to end binge eating, I never thought that self-love (along with the ONLY thing that works to end binge eating and the guilt around food) would be the answer to all of my problems! So let me ask you this…

Do you know how to love yourself unconditionally?

It’s ok if you don’t or if you weren’t taught how- many of us weren’t. And because of that, we’ve put external validation and achievement as ways to receive love. Learning to love ourselves fully and unconditionally opens up our journey to self-healing.

    Self-Love
Self-love is a verb- it’s not something you have or get and then you’ve got it for good, it’s something you DO.

  • How to train your subconscious mind

    www.victoriakleinsman.com

The power of your subconscious mind goes further than you might think.

I’m sure you’ll agree with me when I say our brains are extremely complicated.

However, you might be surprised by how much control we actually have over its programming.

    Before I dive into that:

Let’s first take a moment to just consider the fact that your subconscious mind is like a huge memory bank. Its capacity is virtually unlimited and it permanently stores everything that ever happens to you.

    WOW!

Your subconscious mind’s job is to store and retrieve data.

Its job is to ensure that you respond exactly the way you are programmed. Your subconscious mind makes everything you say and do fit a pattern consistent with your self-concept, your “master program.”

This is why repeating positive affirmations are so effective — you can actually reprogram your own thought patterns by affirming positive sentences to yourself.

This is why reading inspirational quotes, for example, has an impact on people who are committed to positive thinking. By focusing your thoughts on uplifting ideas, your subconscious will begin to perform a positive pattern in your way of thinking and your outlook on life.

Your subconscious mind is influenced. It does not think or reason independently; it simply obeys the commands it receives from your conscious mind.

I great way to look at this is to see your conscious mind as the gardener, planting seeds and see your subconscious mind as the garden, or fertile soil, in which the seeds develop and grow.

This is another reason why adopting the power of positive thinking is important to the foundation of your entire thought process.

Your conscious mind commands and your subconscious mind obeys.

Your subconscious mind is an unquestioning servant that works day and night to make sure that your behaviour fits a pattern consistent with your emotionalized thoughts, hopes, and desires.

Your subconscious mind grows either flowers or weeds in the garden of your life, whichever you plant by the mental equivalents you create.

Your subconscious mind keeps you thinking and acting in a manner consistent with what you have done and said in the past.

Your subconscious mind causes you to feel emotionally and physically uncomfortable whenever you attempt to do anything new or different or to change any of your established patterns of behaviour.

The sense of fear and discomfort are psychological signs that your subconscious has been activated. But it’s been working to establish those behaviour patterns in the background long before you’ll ever notice the fear and discomfort.

Your subconscious mind is the gatekeeper of your comfort zone.

You can feel your subconscious pulling you back toward your comfort zone each time you try something new. Even thinking about doing something different from what you’re used to will make you feel tense and uneasy.

I know you know what I’m talking about…!

Detaching from where you think you should be in life

I am going to share with you my top 3 ways to live mindfully, to embrace the present moment and ditch the need to be at a certain stage in life, at a certain time. This has changed my life in so many ways and I want you do experience this freedom too.

Each day we are exposed to numerous messages suggesting we should be at this or that stage in life in order to be successful. We “should” have a partner, a house, a qualification, a driver’s license or a well-paid job, and the list goes on. Whatever it may be for you, no doubt you would have experienced this external pressure at some stage of your life whether that be from social media, parents, friends, or family. You may even place these expectations on yourself and beat yourself up when you don’t reach them fast enough.

Thoughts might go through your head like “when I get this ill be happy” or “once this happens life will be better”.

Goals are great and having a drive-in life is definitely going to take you far, but one important thing to realise is, living in the future and worrying about where you should be all of the time takes you out of the present moment. It doesn’t allow you to be grateful for what you already have in life. Your happiness will not come with material things or reaching that next milestone.

Happiness comes from being completely present in the current moment. Absorbing what is already around you and being truly grateful for that.

Once we are present and grateful for what we already have we are coming from a place of abundance rather than lack. We are coming from a place where we are happy with where we are at, anything else that comes into our life from here is a bonus. Please don’t forget about timing, and know that things will come into your life as they are meant to. Especially when we are in a place of content.

Too often we want things too quickly, we look for relationships instead of letting them come to us. It is not until we are content within ourselves that the right relationships come along, we are able to think more clearly and allow only the best into our lives. You do not need to be at a certain place at a specific age or time in your life.

It is completely up to you what you do with your life. There is no right time for anyone as we are all on completely different paths. What may work for someone might not work for you and that is completely fine.

Being present can be a journey at times, especially if we have been living in the future for most of our lives. I know for me initially I struggled a lot. I struggled to see the good in my current situation and be content with the present moment when there is so much I was looking forward to in the future.

This was especially true for me when I had times where I had a lot of things to look forward to (holidays, food, seeing my family, Christmas)…I couldn’t wait to be experiencing the next exciting thing knowing what adventures lay ahead of me but this often meant swapping out the happiness that I could have felt in that exact moment for happiness that didn’t even exist yet…

There are a few key routines I have in place now to keep me grounded and in the present moment and I want to share them with you today in hopes to transform your life like I have mine.
